This works great for my outside fountain. The birds come every day to it to drink and bathe. First, it cleared up the algae in the fountain and now it keeps it clean. Which means I don’t have to take it apart and clean the filter as much. I just add a little bit to a gallon of water. It’s safe for the animals, even the squirrels come up and drink. This is my second bottle and I will keep ordering this. If you have a birdbath or a water fountain, you can’t go wrong with this.

This is a fantastic product! I've been using this Fountain Algaecide and Clarifier in my two small fountains, and I'm very impressed with the results. Since I started using it, the algae has completely disappeared, and the water has been consistently crystal clear.I find that using just a capful in each fountain every two to three weeks is enough to keep them looking great. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a small fountain struggling with algae.

Works great just wished it came with a dropper for smaller fountains to measure with.

After years of generally disappointing results from other fountain algicides, I decided to give this one a try. Bear in mind that my fountain is very small (perhaps about 2-3 gallons of water), so when you do the math on the recommended amount of algicide to use it literally comes out to a few drops. At this rate the 8oz bottle will last forever so for me the value is tremendous. I have been using this for three months so far, treating every 10-15 days and so far, there is absolutely no sign of algae whatsoever! And as I understand it, when used as directed it is not harmful to birds, humans or other animals (save perhaps fish). I know that this chemical is used in swimming pools as a chlorine alternative with no apparent risk so it seems like it would be OK. Obviously I'm not an expert and can't say with certainty that it is 100% safe, but what I can say is it works great for algae control.

I bought this to use for a small fountain I made using a galvanized tub. My fountain is solar so it gets a ton of sun, so, since I didn't expect any birds or plan for fis, I bought this. Low and behold, one day a robin landed on it, but since there was no grate or anything for it to stand on, it flew away. I wanted to attract more birds, so I bought a small barbecue grate and affixed it temporarily. Then it occurred to me, I might need a new chemical. I checked and it's apparently OK for birds just not fish, so I'm good. As far as how well it works, it works well. I started out with a clean tub and pump, filled it with just a capful of chemical, which I only add more about every week or two. It works great! No algae at all. Pump needs cleaning less, just from some fuzzies, otherwise I really like it. We took the little bubbler off and added a spray head, now fingers crossed a bird or two will come.

Ok, totally honest review here. I put this in a small water feature, old and stained but freshly scrubbed, used less than a quarter cap full and on a 100 degree, sunny day when there would have been algae growth, I have none. Tomorrow is going to be another scorcher, so we'll see how it looks in the evening. So far, I'm pretty impressed. I did read the one star reviews after purchasing. . .what is being said is not exactly true. The "hazardous to humans and domestic animals" is only when exposed to the concentrated form, however, it says nothing about how potentially hazardous it is in its' diluted form (and it should, just like the Amazon description). I have a dog that drinks out of my water features, so that concerns me. I certainly don't want to poison my dog, nor do I want to poison any animals that use that water feature every day. So. . .I am torn. It definitely works on algae, but at what cost? The whole reason I have the water feature is for the animals that visit my yard. It's too bad the company that makes the product isn't more detailed and clear about the safety of this product. The other thing that is on the label, but not in the Amazon description, is that it is considered a "pesticide". I am still researching the exact ingredients and I would suggest anyone considering purchase do the same and then make your decision based on your findings. I will probably look for a more natural alternative to this product our of concern for animals, but it definitely does its' job on algae.

The media could not be loaded. This stuff is amazing!! I used to have to.change the water and clean out the pump everywhere. After 3-4 days my fountain would have that thick slimy algae everywhere. I got so tired of scrubbing it everyweek!!! I bought 2 bottles of this about a month ago and I have not cleaned the water out once. The water is still crystal clear. It's actually amazing what a difference this liquid makes! I'm literally shocked with the results. Plus since the water is staying clean I don't have to clean put the pump that often. I was cleaning the pump every 3 weeks cause it would get so clogged from the algae that bzry any water was coming out. It's been a month and I haven't cleaned the pump once and its still coming put hood. I probably won't have to clean it for another 2 weeks or so. So compared to every 2 week to every Month in a half is HUGE! My only complaint is the bottles are tiny!!!! I wish they made bigger bottles and that the price wasnt so high for that tiny bottle. I'm almost all out of the 2nd bottle so I'll have to repurchase again within the next week. So 2 bottles has lasted me a little over a month. But this is GREAT stuff!!!!
