Accurate Temperature Readings
I read some reviews of this product before buying and fully understand some of the frustrations. I think what most folks don’t understand is that temperature fluctuations occur very easily within just a few feet. These gauges in my opinion are accurate. I wouldn’t say 100% accuracy but except for weather stations professionally calibrated equipment, nothing really is. Even then! These must the calibrated using some other instrument and if you purchased more than one, also against other. I used a Weber BBQ thermometer which has very good range down to the 70s. After making the correct adjustments, 3 of these and the Weber all matched perfectly. I fully trust them. I have 8 different temperature gauges all around my house which face different conditions, from full sun to full shade, to morning and afternoon. The ones facing the same conditions are all accurate against each other, while the ones facing different conditions can vary up to 10 degrees depending on where they’re placed. I am very particular about temperature readings since I ride a motorcycle all year round and need to prepare my gear accordingly. These, in my opinion, are very good! They do a good job. They also stick very well!

Quality Gone to Rubbish
Bought one 3 years ago and wanted another. Bought twice and both are unusable. Returned it and they sent another one that is defective. They are now poorly made with suction cups that are distorted and will NOT stick to glass, even with clear adhesive. Moisten the cup . . . . falls off; use a dab of silicone grease . . . . falls off and finally; use a dab of silicone adhesive . . . falls off. Obviously, Chinese suction cups suck! Or, perhaps better to say they’re defective and can’t suck!BUYER BEWARE.

Ditch the batteries with this price-is-right, accurate, easily read, and installed thermometer!
I purchased this in response to the failure of my expensive, battery gobbling wireless indoor/outdoor weather station. Yes, the weather apps on my tablet are great, but in the morning heading out the door to my exercise walk, I just want to glance up, see the temperature, layer accordingly and out I go. Mine arrived in one day with Prime membership. Thanks Amazon! Awesome. Others have commented that their item required calibrating using the brass nut on the back. Mine arrived, and both the indoor temperature, then the outdoor temp, confirmed with a digital thermometer was right on the money. I cleaned the window area with window cleaner and dried it carefully with paper towel, where I eventually mounted it. Once satisfied that I was going to keep the product, I then removed the "made in China" sticker from the back of the device so I wouldn't be seeing that every time I used it. Finally, I placed the thermometer suction cup down in a small bowl of the hottest tap water I could draw, being careful to only cover the suction cup and introduce no water into the thermometer mechanism. After waiting a few minutes to allow the suction cup to become pliable in the hot water, I removed it from the water, touched a finger to the top of my dish washing soap dispenser and rubbed my finger over the suction cup. A TINY amount of dish soap is what you want. Just enough to make the cup slippery. Then I placed the thermometer on the cleaned part of the window. This has successfully worked for me with any other similar device suction cupped to a window. I can see this puppy across the room easily. NO more batteries! I love it when the plan comes together.....

Good but small
Sticks on the window well. I’m still trying to see if the temperature reading is accurate, which will take a little time but so far my only wish is that it be larger. The old one I had was 8 inches circumference this one is about 4 inches.

A Good Buy
This outdoor thermometer is a good buy - easy to install, inexpensive, and surprisingly durable. It has held up for years sticking to the outside of a window, and has endured repeated cycles of Wisconsin hot and cold weather. (Follow the simple installation directions for window location and cleaning the window before pressing the thermometer to the glass.)I also learned something that is not written on the packaging. You can adjust the thermometer manually if it appears to be off with regard to the temperature. You can simply use a needle nose pliers, or tweezers, to rotate the central metal hexagonal post (on the back, opposite the suction cup) until the pointer lines up with the correct temperature reading. This can be good to know if you think you have a defective thermometer, or if the thermometer is dropped from a height and the temperature reading is no longer accurate.I've had occasions when I thought I broke the thermometer by dropping it from a height, only to find out that the jarring action when it hit the ground simply caused the pointer to become misaligned. Once I reset it manually, I discovered that it was fine. No need to buy another thermometer.

Quite inaccurate reading when in direct sunlight.
I saw comments about the inaccuracy of the thermometer. I was still willing to try it out, maybe it was only off by a little bit.In full sun, when weather.com said it was 72 degrees f, this thermometer said it was nearly 120 degrees.Could have been baked in the sun, maybe. ???I moved it to a shaded part of my house and it says 78 degrees. I will see if it becomes more accurate.

Taylor outdoor window thermometer
This is my second one, I just attached it to my kitchen window, and I can read any time. It is especially great in wintertime so you can dress according to the temperature.

Inaccurate.... So Disappointing
I really wanted to love this thermometer because it's just perfect for outside my kitchen window. Nice and small with great readability. It feels super flimsy but the suction cup is very stiff. I was unable to suction it to the window in colder March temps and had to wait until the weather warmed and the suction softened a bit. It makes me wonder if it would fall off in winter time. Anyways, I'm sad I wasted my money because it is on average 7 degrees off. I have it in the shade but it says it's 7 degrees warmer than it is.
