What we've been looking for - He loved it!
Received it in a timely manner. Outside of the box gives it away, so if you're gifting this like I was, keep it away from the giftee. Set up was simple. All the parts work. Record player sounds wonderful - which is why we bought this unit. Radio works great & love that it's seen old style dial to find the stations. Speakers are booming! Some of the previous reviewers have said that the speakers stop working or don't sound good - if you turn it up to the max volume, you're surely to blow the speakers sooner rather than later - also it's pretty loud at a low setting, & we personally had to turn it down for different records. Just like any other speaker, if you pay them to los they'll sound crackly & will eventually bust. The unit is very beautiful. There was a nicked spot on the side but nothing to send it back over.

This product is cheaply made!!!
Worked well, at first. It has a nice old fashioned look to it, so it is very appealing at first. The components, however, are very cheap. Within 6 months of purchase, the turntable no longer works!!! This has become a CD player only and an expensive MP3 device only, which is NOT the reason I purchased it!!!If you want a record player that works, don't buy this!!!!!

It's Okay for the price
It's hard to beat the price of this with all of the features that it has, but there are many downsides to it. I've had this product for nearly a year now and the cassette player stopped working out of nowhere after I've only used it a handful of times at most. I mainly use this for the turntable and the sound from the built-in speakers could only be described as maybe average at best. I eventually hooked up some 2.0 computer speakers through the headphone jack and the sound was a vast improvement, I highly recommend doing this if the sound doesn't meet your standards and have limited space. As long as everything else stays in working order, I won't have many other complaints.

One Lovely Stereo System
I rent a very small, 400-square-foot studio apartment. I spend most of my days and nights at my computer and had amused myself with a boombox for my CD's and audio cassettes. However, due to my owning a fair collection of records and wanting to order more, I decided it was time to look for something that would handle all three. Although I was hoping for a system that would allow me to create my own CD's, I just resist trying this for only $100 with a $10 shipping charge. When it arrived I was delighted at how lightweight it was, and how easy to set on top of a tray table, plug in, and use. Yes, it only holds one record and you have to place the arm on the record to play it, but the quality makes that small fuss well worth it. I like how the CD drawer opens and closes really fast but I miss seeing how long it plays. I also have trouble reading what each of the six buttons does but at least it was easy to learn the rightmost button on the top row is the play button and the one under it is the stop button. It has no trouble playing any of my CD's even though some are quite old. I have yet to play a cassette in it as I play them on my portable Sony that sits on my computer desk. The system has a warm color with a lid that is quick to lock into place and release. The needle stays on the surface of the record and does not jump or skip. When I walk by I do sometimes take a moment to admire it and am very pleased with my selection.

Great audio as a radio
I don't know why some people complained about the sound quality from this. you're not buying a speaker. you're buying something that looks antique and unique. As far as i'm concerned, the sound quality coming out of the speakers was quite good when I switch the radio on. I don't have the chance to try the turntable or the CD player yet but I am already very satisfied with the audio quality and the look of it.The staff was also quick to response when I requested a change of color from Oak to Cherry. I received the Cherry and it's beautiful! This is definitely gonna cheer my girlfriend up back in Singapore. The only downside: it's not dual-voltage, you have to buy a small step-down transformer (which only costs about USD10-20 in Amazon) for use in Asia or UK (220-240Vac).(EDIT) tried the turntable. its my first time using a turntable, but it's easy if you follow the instructions as provided. Sound quality is decent. I saw one of the review here saying the needle was not heavy enough and had to put a nickel to add weight onto it; I guess he/she was unfortunate. Mine's playing like it should. Once again, great Valentine's Day gift.

One Easy Fix, and This Is a Spectacular Record Player
I bought this record player as a gift for my girlfriend, because she was in love with my Crosley record player. We had a slight issue the first night we played it -- records kept skipping needlessly. I took a look at it and the issue was simple. The arm is too heavy, and the head isn't heavy enough. So, because most vinyls are warped, the head would slip off the record every so often because it's so light. I simply taped a nickel to the head to give it some weight and now it sounds terrific. And, unlike my Crosley, this record player can really put out some sound without external speakers. You can add an equalizer and/or speakers if you wish, but they aren't necessary (like with my Crosley). This player works all by itself. With a CD Player, cassette player, radio and iPod adapter, you've got everything you need for a great home listening center. This player is a steal.Highly recommend. Do the nickel trick, and you'll fall in love with this equipment immediately.
