Visual Controls: Applying Visual Management to the Factory

This is a great book for explaining LEAN & 5S and other techniques for making the workplace more functional. It uses quite a few job shop manufacturing examples, but explains things very well so that it can easily be understood for other manufacturing types. It is a very quick read. I've ordered it for my staffs in Singapore, India, and China.

Unless you are an absolute beginner in the subject, this book is of no value. I believe there are far more substantial books available, and some of the free literature available on the Internet is of more value.

Disappointing. Only for starters and newcomers.

Good start for practical 5s approach in general. I would have expected more photos, examples and also a part on digital dimension.
