143 Whole Room Air Circulator Tower Fan with Timer and Remote Control, 29", Black

Spent so much money on fans over the last few years. All kinds- box fans, rotating fans, ceiling fans- weird window fans from china with controls that don't make any sense (no offense, China! I love you, but you know how it goes). The box fans all rusted after a year (salt air on the pacific coast), and only blow in a straight line. These are great when you first get them then they get old and noisy. Rotating fans but we have tall ceilings where the heat just festers- and you are cool for 2 seconds while you melt waiting for the rotation to come back around. Ceiling fans are good- but they are only in certain areas. So basically, I did this multi-year experiment where I threw some money down the drain and was constantly irritated with the cheap products I was mostly buying. And then this. So happy with this- actually moves all the air, all the time- not very loud (compared to what I'm used to). The remote- eh- it's kinda cheap but we won't use that anyway and it wasn't a selling point for us. Just another thing that needs batteries. It does work adequately- about what you would expect- line of sight- not too far away, but it does work. I was convinced by the reviews and so took a chance- spent a little more money and now, this is my brand. I also bought the most powerful Vornado fan for another area- and also was not disappointed at all with that. Great purchase(s)! It's cool air is on me right now, as I write this- had it a couple months now.

I keep it on low mostly, its quiet but moves plenty of air at that speed. When I want to drown out sounds of the house or world going on around me I kick it up to medium or high, it definitely makes noise on high. love the remote, it seems to work not even pointing at the fan. Easy to put base on it. The little thing does its job.

Nice looking fan but not crazy about....should've send back but threw box out...it does not rotate, air just flows where u point it...do not recommend if there is more than one person in the room!

This is my first Vornado tower fan I have purchased. I have used other Vornado fans over the years and my biggest complaint was that when set on HIGH, the fans made a fair amount of noise but were effective in circulating the air. This fan, even when set to HIGH, is not overly noisy. I find it very efficiently circulates the air in my room and I believe that it has been most helpful in keeping me comfortable during this summer and the ongoing heatwaves. I honestly feel like this is the first time I have experienced the added benefit of a fan in conjunction with an AC keeping me comfortable. In fact I have been able to keep my temp on my AC set higher than I have in years past--I feel it is the tower fan and it ability. As to the remote--I did not recall the tower fan came with. I was disappointed that the battery appears to be DEAD so it was a bit annoying not being able to test it out. I would have preferred a rectangular shaped remote as it would be easier to hold as opposed to the round/oval shaped remote provided. I admit, it took me a few attempts to ensure that the fan was positioned in the proper/correct position to supply the airflow I hoped for. I hope the fan's lifespan is a nice long one--it is working 24/7 during these summer months and will most likely be on (at a lower setting) once the hot weather fades away. I have not used the TIMER FUNCTION, hence the rating of "3 stars"--wish there was a rating for "N/A - Not applicable/used". Actually I cannot think of a time when I would want to use the timer at all--I suppose it is a nice feature for others.

Crappiest Vornado fan we have ever had. The air flow is very very low. My other Tornado: Vornado VFAN™ Mini Classic Vintage Fan, Retro Metal Air Circulator, are excellent.

Finally some air circulation in my apartment!!! Now I can save money on my A/C bill! Easy assembly and small footprint. After just 1 year it started making noises and we cleaned it then still same issue. Not so bad but also when we turn it off it stays ON!???? Then i said hey it was cheap lets just buy another but price was like 3x the original cost so we went and purchased a different brand & model on ebay instead.

Hasn't even been a full year and the motor seems to be dying. Makes a groaning noise when it starts up and can barely run on the low setting.

We live somewhat near the beach where air conditioning is almost nonexistent but a fan in the summertime is a must. Having owned Vornado fans in the past, on a hot day and our air circulation on the low side, we ventured out and purchased the 154 Tower (32”) from a local retailer – tower fans looked like the newest thing and never having owned one I was a little hesitant but thought “what the heck”. …Unpacked it, assembled it and turned it on. The fan starts at high. It has 4 speeds so I turned it down 2 notches and let the family comment on its ability. The 2 low speeds are quiet and great at circulating air around a room (we use this fan in the bedroom so these speeds are great for sleeping). The 2 upper speeds are definitely noisier and use these when we really want to blow a lot of air – after working out I like to turn it on high and sit in front of it….it’s a windstorm. This fan does come with 4 timer settings that we haven’t found use for (yet) and a remote control that we do find has good utility. It also has its vertical ability limitations – you can’t tilt it like a standard circular blade fan. This hasn’t been a problem for us as the fan height seems to do a great job at dispersing air when placed a foot or two off the floor. So far my family loves this fan….they admired it so much, from Amazon I purchased the 143 Tower (29”) for my daughter’s room and today purchased the 173 Tower (37”) for the family room - we’re having a heat wave in California. Let me also add that the 29” fan is for small rooms and shouldn’t have the expectations of the bigger fans. The difference between the 29” and the 32” is quite noticeable. So far…….we’re a fan of this fan!

this is a very stylish and powerful air circulator with remote control, easily put together.Being powerful it is not quiet but is good for normal use in most places but its up to you about bedroom use if you can take a constant breezy whirr all night, on its higher settings it is noisier,but no more than a regular large fan

Es una excelente torre. Lo adquirí para usar en mi habitación que es pequeña, así que con la velocidad más baja me es suficiente. Lo puedes mantener encendido o programar para que se apague en 1,2, 4 y hasta 8 horas y su control remoto lo hace muy cómodo de operar. Es un gran ventilador a menos que te gusten las grandes corrientes de aire. Tengo un inconveniente que no tiene que ver con el producto pero si con su distribución: Es muy caro el envío! Para que lo tengas en cuenta. Por lo demás, excelente producto.

Está muy bonito y práctico, peeeeero no echa mucho aire y donde vivo las temperaturas superan los 34 grados celcius

Defective piece sent...the power button, remote, timer button everything works except the fan....extremely disappointed with Amazon for keeping such brands. Happy with the delivery speed though.
