Surprisingly Good, Buying More
These figures arrived about a month after expected but the world was dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic (some day people will read this review and say "Oh, yeah, I kind of remember that...") so this did not seem unreasonable. When I opened the figures the first thing that jumped out at me was a memory of buying my first 3.75" GI Joe action figure back in the day and being AMAZED at how much more Grunt (said action figure) could move compared to a Star Wars. If you are familiar with the 3.75" Gi Joes, these figures are more articulated than even the later versions of that series and they are larger. She stands right at about 5" and he is a little taller. The stand is excellent and gray is a good color for catching dramatic lighting. Each figure comes with three sets of hands and two sets of feet (one of those has a movable toe section). Figma makes character figures so I am hoping that I might be able to find tools and weapons to fit in their hands in the future for certain projects. Now the negative points... really not negative as much as limitations. The male figure looks like he has been doing steroids for a while and, as such, has no neck. The female has a neck and it is by far her worst feature. I initially thought it may be backwards! At best she looks like she has a serious turkey neck... at worst she looks like the male figure snapped her neck in a fit of 'roid rage. I wish the male figure was a little less Conan the Barbarian in his proportions and she was a little more real world than Barbie. I will do some research to see if Figma offers other body types (other than the many character figures they do). That being said, for less than $13 I am as happy as nine year old me was when I bought my first GI Joe back in '82.Bottom line: as soon as I hit submit on this review I ordering a second set!

Buyer beware.
I saw these and thought "what a great deal!"Um, no. You get what you pay for, I suppose, but at that point I would have been better off getting the little Marvel action figures at Wal Mart for the same price instead. So the good part was that shipping and estimated delivery dates arrived as estimated, no problems there. Coming from overseas, don't expect it to arrive next day.The bad parts, well... poor, inconsistent sculpt quality would be my biggest issue. The male figure's legs won't stay on the posts, they keep popping off, even when not in motion. I suppose they can be fixed with glue, but then there goes your articulation. I tried heating them a little to see if that would help, but no, he's just going to be legless. The female figure is not as bad, her legs actually stay on... until you try to move them. The extra hands don't want to stay on the posts, either, so I would say that these are falling well short of your basic Lego blocks in terms of precision sculpting. The figure stands are about what you would expect. Again, my experience was that the male figure stand was the one with all the problems, but these could actually be tightened up with some precision screwdrivers. Overall a fairly cheap product, not completely useless as far as art novelty tools are concerned, but nowhere near comparable to some of the other options of roughly equivalent cost (which I now wish I had purchased instead). If you'd like to see how I will use them, check out my art at philipspace.deviantart.com and leave a comment ;)

Worth the Price
This is definitely worth the $12 - $15 they charge for it. I say this even though the female head came off in the packaging. So here's some tips:1. Heads are pressure fit in the chest/back piece. If they are loose, model airplane dope or ShoeGoo will hold them on. Just glue it down and to the back.2. Pull the extra hands and feet STRAIGHT off the little mount. Don't twist. Don't put them back on it. Stick them in an Altoids tin or similar.3. These manniquins are pretty well articulated but not fully articulated. Joints move in the correct direction and not otherwise. Be gentle and you can approximate all kinds of poses.4. These things are not a toy. A child would break one on first use.5. Hands and feet are mounted on a hinge with a double pin. Hold the limb and the pin. Then gently pull off with a twist.6. For best results and least breakage and probably longest life, skip the extra hands and feet, mount the manniquin on the stand, and then just use the whole thing without ever taking it apart.I use my set for cartooning and find it very satisfactory. If you need your manniquin to sit cross-legged, to sit seiza, to have crossed arms, and similar, you will need the ones that cost about $26 for male OR female. If you want industrial grade, the Japanese make the $55 male and the $75 female for the manga/anime market. But these are, at this point, all that I need.

Rather disappointed
Arms and legs fall off of both male and female figures when you try to pose the figures. The chests fit on like Kevlar vests, which creep up so the figure often looks like it's doing a deep shrug while the pelvis fits on similarly to the chest and looks like barbie doll crotch, but with better butts. Also, the necks are really weird and bulging and the heads don't fit with them (Looks like the figures swallowed a full ostrich egg and it got caught in there). I also have trouble with the stands, as they aren't weighted and so trying to pose them means doing a lot of balancing. They come with extra hands (clenched fists, curled holding, open hand). For some reason the male came with two open hands and the female came with two clenched fists. If I had only ordered one, I would have had double of the same hand, which shouldn't be happening. And the girls stand didn't have the attachment place between stand and body. But the figures do hold form pretty well, if you can keep the limbs attached. And the details on them (stomach and leg muscles) are wonderful. They are tiny, but still give me a good idea of how a highly athletic body would move and gather light and shadow.Honestly, though, if I knew I would be picking up their arms and legs from the floor more than I'd be posing them, I'd have found another set.
