Great product
Hands down the best stereo I've ever purchased so far. I was sceptical about it after reading the reviews but I'm glad I took the chance. It fits perfectly in a 88-98 Silverado/Sierra. It preformed much better than some other more expensive units I've tried in the past.. It's priced pretty cheep for what your getting. I'll have one in every truck I own from now on

Great stereo, after reading a lot of the reviews ...
Great stereo, after reading a lot of the reviews there are a lot of small complaints, it sounds great, it's easy to modify to watch videos or movies while driving. Bluetooth connection is great. I have it hooked up to a pair of soundstream 6 1/2s and 6x9s along with 2 jl audio 10s pushed by a jl 500/1. Sounds pretty clear and clean. I would say for the money it's great but it's great and the fact that is cheap is even better

Maybe not the best...
I took a chance on this head unit because in my vehicle the HVAC controls are above the single-din opening and this allowed me to have a nice, big 7" screen while always having access to my heater and air conditioning. In fact, it's the only head unit that I could find in this configuration.Immediately after installing it, I checked its ability to make bluetooth hands-free calls (one of the most important features to me, since I often use my time commuting to work to talk with my parents). While I was on side streets heading toward the freeway, the unit performed just 'okay'. I was able to hear my parents just fine but I had to speak quite loudly for them to understand me. This wasn't a deal-breaker for me, but I had hoped for better after using an Alpine head unit for many years that had flawless bluetooth performance. However, once I was on the freeway and up to speeds above 35 mph, my parents couldn't understand me enough to carry on a conversation. I would have removed the unit and returned it immediately at that point, but since I commute to work on the I-5 in southern California, most of my time is spent in stop-and-go traffic at speeds below 30 mph. I was able to use the hands-free calling any time I found myself in those situations.Things only got worse from then on, though, and a couple months later the clock became impossible to set. Every time I would set it, it would revert to a random time a few seconds later. I checked my wiring and everything was spot-on, with a constant 12+ve going to the radio and keeping all of the radio station presets properly set, along with all of my other preferences. While annoying, this wasn't a deal-breaker either...but it probably should have been. The final straw was when the radio stations started randomly cutting out. Since I mostly listen to the radio on my commute, this WAS a huge deal-breaker. I noticed that I could tune the radio again manually and get my radio stations back, but the tuner had drifted so badly that they were WAY off from their normal preset stations. For example, 91.1 could now possibly be found by tuning to 93.5. This would happen after listening to the radio for about 10 minutes, or halfway through my drive.I tried to return the head unit for a full refund, but I was too late. I could have returned the unit to the manufacturer for a repair, but based on the fact that its bluetooth performance is subpar, I wasn't really interested in having another one (especially since it was likely to malfunction again anyway). Ultimately, it became a paperweight that now takes up space in my junk closet.I hated to get rid of the Soundstream and its big display, since I had it hooked up to a backup camera and that was one of the features that actually worked, and worked very well. In the end, however, I swapped it out for a new Alpine single-DIN head unit and have had stellar bluetooth hands-free calls ever since (not to mention, not one single issue otherwise). I did have to add an auxiliary display for the backup camera though, and really wish that Alpine would make a head-unit with the form factor of this Soundstream VR-732B.

Great unit, WHEN IT WORKS....
Purchased this in June 2017, worked great for a little while. Then the motorized faceplate stopped working intermittently and now has stopped working altogether. Now to top it off, the LCD touchscreen only works occasionally now.

Good but could be better.
Pros:- Great screen- Awesome bluetooth audio connection (music)- Easy to use interfaceCons:- Radio reception sucks- Screen is a little bright at night, even at the lowest brightness settings- Bluetooth microphone just works OKThere should be an option to have an add on, noise cancelling, microphone.

It could off easily been gone through
I recieved the radio today. To my surprise it came not in a brown box but in the original box and it wasn't even taped closed. It was as if I went to the store, and purchased it locally. Surprisingly everything was in the box. It could off easily been gone through. For this reason I was disappointed. Low volume doesn't sound very good for some reason. But once I turn it up to over 30 then it sounds good. The faceplate is difficult to get back on. For those that don't have a emergency brake switch, To get the DVD's to play just ground that wire.
