Perfect for a farmhouse table build
I just built a table for a client from her mother's very old beat up tabletop, which she wanted changed from a pedestal to a farmhouse style. I decided to build the apron from 2x4s and buy turned legs, but needed these brackets to attach the legs to the apron so the table could be transported. A lot of customers plan the size of the item they want but never think of how that item will make it through the doors and doorways of their homes. So I knew the legs needed to be detachable in order to move the table around. These brackets were perfect! I first placed the legs where I wanted them on the underside of the table, then measured for the 2x4s to fit between. Once they were cut, I pocket-holed them to the table top then screwed these brackets between the 2x4s. Once I routered the corner of the legs off, they fit flat right up against the brackets. Then I marked the legs for the bolts I would screw into the legs. Once the bolts were screwed onto the legs and the nuts were tightened up, the legs were amazingly sturdy on these brackets. This purchase opened up a whole world for additional builds and the price for the brackets, nuts and bolts was very minimal. I will definitely buy these again! Thank you!

My use is unconventional, but these were great.
Not just for tables, though I know that's what the design intends. I needed a way to quickly put together a few custom-sized garden boxes. Maybe I'm lazy, but these work perfectly to attach the sides and bottom (using the area intended for attaching a table-top.) they are very sturdy -- more so than most of the brackets I've seen used on kitchen tables. And if I were building a table with legs, I'd prefer these because the two holes to hold the legs are obviously going to hold the leg more securely and straight than just one center hole/bolt.Well, I know that my use is unconventional, but I saw no other corner brackets that would make my job easier, and allow me to avoid creating a bunch of extra holes in the wood to keep the pieces together.Even with the shipping cost added, these were in the range of $2.50 per bracket (package contains 4) which really can't be beat, especially considering the sturdiness and quality of these.

Good quality Corner Leg support
I needed to make detachable legs for a farmhouse table. This worked well. Getting the hanger bolts straight is key. You must order those separate. I built a jig to drill the holes straight and that side really needs to be chamferred. It took some thought, but I'm pleased with the results.

Needs Hardware
What you get is a packet of four plain steel brackets, with no hardware and no instructions on how to use them. I used the brackets to assemble the base for a kitchen table. The perimeter apron-boards were to be glued to the legs. The parts were roughed together dry, with 1/4-inch plywood spacers between the brackets and the legs. I used 5/16 X 2-inch hanger bolts & flange nuts to mount the legs, and #8 screws to attach the apron. The legs were unbolted to apply glue, and they were put back in place without the spacers. When the nuts were cinched down, it made tight and precise joints all round. Then just a few screws to secure the table-top. Easy to use, and best delivery from Amazon.

Rock solid!
The first time I've built a table base using corner mount brackets, and these made it a breeze! I had a 50 yr. old table top from a trestle table my father made from two 24" pine boards from a local sawmill and wanted to use legs instead to seat more people comfortably. I used 4"x4" cedar posts cut to 28 1/2" for legs and 1' clear pine for the apron. These are better than other brackets because they have screw holes to connect the table top as well as the apron and don't need the apron to be grooved. They also have two holes to connect lag bolts to the legs - most others I've seen have only one. Two things: there are no instructions about WHERE to mount the brackets to the apron boards. I set them back 1 1/2" after trial and error. It's also recommended that the legs be chamfered (flattened) on the edge where the lag bolts mount using a router and chamfer bit. I did this in a few minutes using a wood rasp and file instead and it worked fine. After using just one of the threaded lag bolts (not included with these, I went with Amazon's recommendation) it's rock solid! Very happy with my purchase and will use these again for another project.

Metal bends when tightened down
Great concept, poor manufacturing. Whatever metal mixture this is made of is either not right or the manufacturing process makes the bracket too thin. When cinching down to get a good snug fitment, the metal gives and buckles in. I'm not 100% sure what other brands are out there but i'm sure going to check for thicker metal. Either that of just make a bracket out of 1" (or thicker) hardwood.. I know that does really good. But I thought I'd try these just to see and sure enough, the buckled while cinching it snug.. Might be great for small furniture (i.e. end table ) applications, but definitely not a 2ft D X 5ft W desk with 4x4 for legs.

Perfect fit for a broken wood corner brace.
I had to help my brother in-law with his kitchen table, the wood corner brace had split in two and he tried to glue it back to together, but no luck. I found the Rockler corner brace and could not be more happy with the end result. I replaced the broken wooden brace with the new surface mount corner bracket, threre are 2 holes to pick from for the bolt that is attachd to the leg. I attached the new brace with 5/8 inch wood screws and my brother in-law's kitchen table is as good as new, no more wobbly leg.
