D.H.S. Posi-Lock Folding Leg Bracket for Wall Mounted Work Bench / Fold Down Table (2 pcs.)

Perfect for my application - a kick up/fold down desk extension. Operates smoothly and strongly so long as your legs are cut just right so that they carry the weight, as they are supposed to. It'd be nice if the pair were mirror images of one another, but thats just cosmetic. 2"x2" strapping was a perfect fit for my application. Of course you could cut any 2x4 to fit as well.

Your Posi-Lock brackets are terrific!! Our Choir director needed a low platform in order to direct us while our practice area is being updated. She wanted the platform to collapse, be moveable and of course it had to be non-slip, sturdy and able to support her weight and movements. My husband custom made it, thanks to your hinges!! She was delighted, especially since he included attached handles for travelling. I know you did not advertise t the Posi-Lock brackets for free-standing items however, they worked perfectly for this project. The carpeted top was 3/4 plywood, legs were 9" x 2" mahogany left over from our deck, placed underneath where the legs met the top. Most folks said that they really liked the fact that the hinges locked both ways - either open or closed. Great product Dugan Hardware!

I purchased these hinges for a removable table that required two folding/locking legs, with the other end resting on another surface. Overall, this is a great product. The lever that unlocks the hinge is easy to push in; and the hinge automatically locks when the leg swings out to a 90 degree angle.I am giving these 4 stars instead of 5 because the hinges wobble slightly. I read some tips on the manufacturer's site, and one of them mentioned that you should install the hinge on the table and then attach the leg to it (in that order) so that the leg makes contact squarely with the table. I did this, and the hinge is just ever so slightly wobbly.I'm sure that there will be improvements made to this cleverly designed product to tweak the stability. Otherwise, this is a great product. I would definitely recommend it, and I'd buy it again.

I like the idea, they work fine. But they are very weak and and can't take any abuse. The metal is very thin and will bend easily. DO NOT try to put 4 on a freestanding table, the table will be super wobbly. They are meant to be used on a fold down table. They sell for 3.99 at woodworking supply stores.

Hinges arrived nicely packaged and shipped. Took me a few minutes to get the hang of how they need to be positioned, leg to table or desk bottom. Figured it out. Very nice. Works great. Hinges lock in closed and open positions and have a little lever to push in to release leg to alternative position. If I had another job like this hinged wall desk I built, I would certainly buy these hinges again. Also, solid hinges that I a sure will last. Good job all around!

The tab on this thing sticks out too far so in order to make it flush you have to bend it. Altogether just not a good design. I would suggest not getting it unless you are certain whatever you are attaching it to is the exact sale width as this.

They do work, just very hard to depress the release/locking mechanism. This looks cool and is rigid, but is almost impossible for a average strength women to use.

Items arrived as described. Great quality. Easy to install and works great. Brackets are sturdy and attach easily to legs for a tight fit. I am using a fold-down 6'8" solid core door slab on a piano hinge as a work top and the folding brackets support it well and work perfectly for this function.
