Good quality umbrella
**UPDATE**Having now used the umbrella for a few weeks the quality isn’t as good as it first appears. The crank handle has started to unwind resulting in the umbrella slowly going down. To fix this I have to tie a ribbon around the handle to the base to stop it unwinding.**Original review**Good quality umbrella in grey. From the picture I thought it was a dark grey but I think it’s got a grey with a slightly browny green tone. I’d wanted to order the purple but I was out voted. The rest of the family think the grey colour is fine, so maybe it’s just me. Umbrella can bend to either side as shown in the product image but not forward and backwards which is a shame. Easy crank handle opening and closing. Doesn’t come with base and the umbrella is quite tall and heavy so make sure you have a suitable, heavy duty base. I’m using a heavy duty base previously used with a larger umbrella and its fine but I can tell your average plastic water filled base wouldn’t be heavy or strong enough.I have a south facing lounge and I ordered this umbrella for outside the patio door to give some shade to the room. It works perfectly and comes an inch or so above the top of the patio door.

It's to high
Although it is of reasonable construction . It stands way to high , my husband had to alter it as it look ridiculous . After alteration it is still about 8 feet high. The winding handle seems flimsy. Unfortunately I've not had chance to use it as the good weather disappeared as soon as it arrived .

Amazing value
So pleased with this garden parasol. It is very sturdy but still light enough for me to manage to put in place on my own. The winding mechanism is efficient. The parasol offers shade from the sun and shelter from the rain. Very good value.

blows over at first sign of wind
disappointed, once up, its too high for standard base and falls over at slightest wind.when folded down the arms pop out of the pockets so its a nightmare trying to line up again before you open
