Best minimalist air travel bag!
This is my new go-to air travel bag for business trips under 5 days - I've ditched the old rollaboard and won't be looking back, after _years_ of trying to find the right solution. There's no more struggling with an extensible handle that doesn't have a comfortable position, bumpy, balky wheels and the excess weight of the frame. The convertible strap adjusts to fit a 5' 5" woman perfectly, unlike backpacks I've tried. I've worn this cross-body, used the strap adjusted for one shoulder carry (preferred), or carried it with the strap adjusted as a short-handled duffel. You can quickly snug the strap for wear while running through an airport when necessary. The padding on the strap is perfect - nether bulky nor too thin/narrow to distribute the full weight of a packed bag comfortably. You can carry it over the shoulder of a suit jacket without fear of permanent wrinkles. The Osprey duffel is nearly as capacious as my 22" carry-on, and I can arrange it as I please with packing/compression cubes. Even stuffed, the dimensions are well within international or domestic bag size limits. It fits easily either in overhead or underseat storage. The compact storage bag that comes with the duffel is a nice touch, but I'm using it as another packing cube since I rarely have need to put the duffel on the shelf.Contents on the last trip were a packable down jacket, hat and gloves, 3 pairs of dress pants, three dress shirts, a suit jacket, a sweater, a pair of jeans, three tee-shirts and three pairs of athletic capris (sleep/sportswear), undergarments, athletic shoes, a flat-pack toiletry bag, a laptop, notepad and files, various power adapters, Tyvek laundry bag... Packed weight was 20 lbs., where my rolling suitcase with the same contents usually weighed around 30+ lbs. Carrying the dress items rolled in packing cubes, inside an unstructured duffel, left them less wrinkled than folding the same items in the suitcase. The duffel material is durable, water-repellent, and the opening is conveniently placed. When fully open, the entire bag interior is accessible. The zipper and pull tabs are sturdy and easily operable, with no snagging of the duffel material or stored items. There is a single zippered interior pocket in the U-shaped duffel flap, which is convenient for small, frequently accessed items (medication, power adapters, makeup, etc.). The only improvement I can think of would be compression straps to cinch it smaller and keep contents from shifting if it's not full. All this at less than a quarter of the cost for a durable suitcase! It's a fantastic minimalist solution, for a packing maximalist who won't re-wear clothing without washing and doesn't often have time for laundry on the road. I suspect the "two weeks in Europe with one international carry-on bag" crowd would also love this.

Not “the one”
Looking for a bag to replace my old carry-on duffel (20 yrs old) for an upcoming trip.Things I loved:1. This bag was THE right size : just ever so slightly larger than my current one (which fits easily under the airline seat) so I know I could’ve stashed it easily under a seat or in the overhead bins.2. The inner mesh pouch is under the flap (just it is in my current duffel). Not having this feature was a deal breaker for several Osprey and other bags I’ve looked at.3. Love the 3 ways you can carry the bag.Deal Breaker:1. You can’t unhook the shoulder strap .... Arrrgh!!! Which means you don’t have easy access to the interior for packing/unpacking ... the stupid strap blocks the way!!! You have to tug at the strap to loosen it and then when you’re finished packing you have to cinch the strap back up. If it just unhooked it would be SO much easier and less time consuming.2. The main part of the bag is black ... which makes it hard to see packed items when you’re in anything less than bright light. Based on the photos I thought the interior would be that lovely bright green but that’s only on the mesh pocket and the two short ends of the bag.It is still a good bag but not the one I’m searching for.

Most functional every day duffle style bag I have ever owned!!!
This bag is the perfect carry on at 45 liters, offering great plenty of room...simple and durable design...multiple carry options! I have used the Trillium 45 for world wide leisure travel...but not for primary business travel, in my opinion. I can fit 1 x Large packing cube...1 Medium...2 Small...a pair of shoes...a pair of Cobian flip flops...<and>...the storage bag that comes with the Trillium 45 is, itself, a Small/Medium size packing cube, and when full, can fit in the side pocket. That is easily 10-14 days of self-sufficiency in my experience. The Trillium 45 allows me to carry a 18-20 liter back pack, instead of my usual 25-35 liter travel size. The 18-20 liter size back pack (mine is a Osprey Hike-Lite 18), is perfect for my MacBook Air 11-13, iPad Mini, 2 good size liquid vessels, travel toiletries bag, cords/adapters/chargers bag, snacks, and light jacket or sweater. The Trillium 45 and a smaller back pack carry easy together, with the over the right shoulder / left side carry, without interfering with the back pack. Those two are ideal for "carry-on & personal item", for men...women get the extra purse allowance, so good for the ladies too!

Smaller than I expected, well made despite thinner than expected material
I ordered an Osprey backpack recently which, while lacking padding for a laptop (which I don't need), was clearly well made. This bag is made of very thin material, and is shipped in a compressed package that is perhaps 5 inches square and 2 inches deep. That is how thin the material is.There is one large compartment, one small side compartment, and the flap has a mesh spot.Initially, I thought this bag wasn't well made, but after taking it to the gym and pool every day via bicycle, I'm convinced it's OK. I will probably buy a bigger bag (Osprey does have 3 other bags that are more traditional gym bags with separate shoe compartments) but at the moment, this little guy is OK.

Best Most Versatile Bag I Own
I purchased and review the Trillium 30. I love that bag. It is great, but my schedule and needs changed. I needed to take more with me during the day and started taking the 30 and another bag. I decided to purchase the Trillium 45 and I am glad I did. I love this bag. It is big, but not too big. I can take everything I need for my day like my lunch, gym clothes, rain jacket, personal items, and my dopp kit. I added a d wring to the bottom handle to give myself more options for things such as keys, water bottles or anything else with a loop to carry. Construction is solid, zippers are robust and smooth to pull. It is not waterproof, but I have been caught in the rain and the bag was dry on the inside. I do still use the 30. I use both, 30 and 45 when traveling and they make a nice set. I like this bag and it is a joy to use and carry. Well worth the purchase.
