Jury still out on this. There are no other products out there that fit the Toyota Highlander, so I don't have another choice - I want to like this product. Will update this review later...I wish the pictures/videos in the previously posted reviews included phones.This product is a bit expensive ($25) and is entirely made of plastic and made in China. My expectations are a bit high due to the cost.Firstly, the provided instructions are for a different product, and the QR code on the instructions is too small to be recognized by my QR reader. I will be searching the web for instructions to install the mount, which is specific to the Toyota Highlander. The kit includes a lever/spoon, presumably to shim the dash and allow the mount to be slid under the dash edges.I can't use the holder because my Otter Box Defender case is too large for the holder arms.I knew that might be a problem, but an answered question indicated that an iPhone XR with Otter Box would fit, but I realize there are several models of Otter Box case. This product will NOT hold a phone with the Otter Box Defender (or similar larger profile) case.However, I might keep this to use the carrier/mount with other compatible phone holders. It seems that all phone holders (made in China) use the same ball/socket/nut assembly.More review later after I install the mount...

No installation instructions were included but had researched and watch YouTube videos so had an idea how to install. Snug fit with a Galaxy S9 and Otterbox case and have to make sure bottom is seated before driving. Would work better with a smaller case.

The media could not be loaded.  I love this holder for my Highlander (2019) fits perfect, very sturdy and moves around with a light touch. It’s not bulky, you must have a thinner case on your phone, otherwise it is a tight fit.

Cons:-doesn’t come assembled-no directions to assemble or install-doesn’t hold phone with pop socket-couldn’t figure out how to get it to stay in place-couldn’t find anywhere online how to get it to actually work

It was totally different and even doesn’t fit in my highlander

Exactly what was expected

NO instructions! Simple plastic device, but we spent and hour trying to find pictures of where this mounted. Finally found a review and figured it out. Works better if you phone has no case, but once installed in the correct spot, it does place phone in a good spot.
