Purchased this to change out the fluid in the transfer case of my 2017 Ford F150 SuperCrew with 2.7L EcoBoost Engine. Just drove over 2000 miles on it with no problems.

OEM Ford fluid, I used it in the transfer case of my 2019 Ford Ranger. You can’t go wrong with using the OEM fluids especially if a warranty question arises.

This is what the Ford dealerships will sell you now when you need to change the transfer case oil in an older 2000 -F350 Super Duty 4x4. Please note the picture here on amazon is of the outdated transfer case oil that Ford no longer sells. So, 5 stars for getting me the updated oil Amazon.

Put a bottle and a half in my 2010 F150 transfer case as XL-12 is discontinued. This is the replacement for XL-12.

I like buying Ford stuff or OEM stuff, I think American manufacturers have "caught up" with all foreign manufacturers and are now exceeding them. I am glad to be buying Ford products again and this is just another example of the OEM being just as good or better than what you can get after market. it is a little more expensive but the quality is there.

This is very thin fluid OEM spec. It appears to be automatic transmission fluid. Likely the same stuff used in older F150 5 speed manual transmissions. My last F150 that was manual went 253k miles on ATF fluid in the transmission before I traded it off. Of course I changed it a few times. The neck of this bottle is wide. Similar to a gallon jug of oil. It is not a smaller neck like usual quart of oil.
