USELESS SAVE YOUR MONEY
Hung these traps, baited them with cat food. One trap caught ZERO flies. The other trap maybe 50. Meanwhile Star Bar Captivator (jar type) traps wound up filling up with flies. You have to put a rock or two in the tray if you have ANY breeze as this thing comes undone and then hooks to itself. One of the traps arrived with a hole in it just from shipping as the one inner hook had caught on the mesh material during shipping. Save your money by the Star Bar Captivator traps and use their bait. Those you can re-use and they actually work. This really was the emperors new clothes.

Cheap
Sticky trap works better, the flies don't go in this thing

Works
Traps work good unfortunately some of mine arrived broken at the weld and the others are barely holding together but other then that they do work well but I don’t see them lasting very long.

soooo worth it !!
My neighbor keeps her dog outside constantly and his poo attracts a lot of flies . When she cleans it up ,they just go everywhere. So I decided to try these. I noticed my dog left a big steamy pile that had about 50 + flies on it ,so I decided to use that pile to bait (even though my bf snarled his nose at the idea) this pic is after about 3 hours ... i would definitely put it in an area you're not going to be near . I put mine between mine and the neighbors yard all the way to the back and I can't believe how many I've already caught and still catching. I also noticed her dog has been barking as much the past few hours because of the flies biting . I can't wait to set out the other one and see how many I catch in it .

Better alternatives
Better alternatives to catch flies. Dog poop works good but who wants to deal with that. Even with poop, it didn’t work great.

cheaply made
this is cheap, the metal holder for the bowl broke on both .. it does catch flies really well.. however trying to get the icky dead smelly flies out of the tiny little grommet hole in the cone netting is silly... and frustrating. If this had a better way to empty the dead flies and they used better wire it would be nice.. because it did catch flies but is not the frustration to empty it. I had to cut a hole in the mesh to empty.. and when the wire broke around the bowls I just tossed them in the burn pile

The right bait does the trick
I put up two of these in different places. Unfortunately, the dog found one and shredded it. The other one is full of flies right now. It works! But only with the right bait. I put in a can of sardines I was never going to eat. At first, I thought the trap was a dud, because there were no flies caught in the first day. Second day No flies. Third day no flies. You get the picture. Turns out the sardines had to putrefy before being a good attractant. One week after putting the trap out, I am catching a fly after fly after fly. Not looking forward to ending it. Maybe I will buy some more and just replace it. Anyway, it works, but you have to have the right date, and a dog that won't shred your trap.
