Almost perfect, but not quite
The only contentious issue with the NUC I have received is that it is equipped with an Intel 660p NVme SSD which is mediocre performance at best. The Product Description intimated a Samsung SSD which is misleading. Now it is up to me to transfer the operating system to an EVO 970 in cost and time. Message from the Seller quoted some lame excuse in regards to this discrepancy. I would recommend buying from another source, or ascertaining the SSD manufacturer before the order is placed.

I Love This Thing!
Very happy with my new Intel NUC computer (been using it for a couple months now), I can recommend it without reservation! I built my last computer from parts bought at Amazon and after 8 years it was time to upgrade. I decided I wanted to save time (not build it myself), save money and save space (I could probably fit 20 or 30 NUC's inside the case of my last computer). The NUC arrived just as specified by the seller with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), Intel® Core™ i7-8559U CPU @ 2.70GHz processor, Intel® Iris® Plus Graphics 655, SAMSUNG MZVKW1T0HMLH-000H1 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD Memory & 32GB RAM. The seller "Tech Wizards at The Lake" was extra helpful; reaching out to make sure all was well with the purchase. I can highly recommend them also!

Size doesnt matter - clean, compact, and powerful.
Machine is exactly as described. It is well boxed and has a feel of quality. It comes with the power adapter, mounting plate, and chassis screws. Using this PC as a replacement installation was easy (power, hdmi, cat5, and USB swap) and was ready for maiden voyage.Typical new PC startup, windows 10 setup is a few simple steps and ready to go. Windows was a few updates behind, but that is expected. Took about 30 minutes and a few reboots and was ready to rock and roll.Things I like:1) size. it will fit in the palm of your hand.2) robust. dont let the size fool ya, the machine is quick (32gb ram i7 processor, 1tb ssd). reboot takes about 20 seconds.3) graphics look great for my use (not a gamer, mainly needed a data cruncher) so cant say how high demand graphics look.4) it is pretty quiet. Not silent, but not a loud. Similar to my Sufrace Pro 4.Overall pretty impressed with this machine.

Worked fine for a few days
This machine arrived quickly and worked well for a few short days. Then it started randomly shutting down and crashing. Clicking the Windows Security icon would immediately freeze the OS. During this time I wasn't doing anything that might stress or overheat the system.I really didn't want to have to return it so I updated everything and ran every scan and test I could think of. I even reinstalled Windows 10, tried a different power supply, tested the RAM modules individually, etc. Nothing worked and the crashes became more and more frequent.I finally gave up, returned it for a refund, and replaced it with something else.

Components are of highly questionable quality...
Buyer beware, the RAM and SSD are super-3rd market quality. RAM came bad, 32gb, 16x2 sticks of TIMETEC memory, kept blue-screening, had to replace. SSD is hard to identify....

This should last me for at least five years
I mounted the NUC to the back of one monitor and ran the shortest cable I could find to the other. Plugged all three into a small power strip clamped to the upper edge of the standing desk, so only one power cable has to track the desk when it moves. Now I have two 1920 by 1200 monitors, wireless keyboard and trackball, and a lot more space on my desktop. It's more computing horsepower than I need today, but I really don't want to be tempted to upgrade in 18 months.

Well constructed, very capable computer
I'm very pleased with this computer after a month and a half using it. I use it for writing, software and media development, and it has no limitations. I thought the limited number of ports might prove to be a problem, but it's very expandable with its Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3 connections. I have numerous peripherals connected: two monitors, keyboard, mouse, computer monitor USB light, external DVD writer, camera, and a laser printer, drawing tablet -- and they all work fine together. It's very quiet. There is a cooling fan, but you can barely hear it.
