Most amazing series!
My daughter loved this so much. The twilight saga is her favorite series ever; she loves the characters and development throughout the book. At the end her favorite character is little Renesmee. Highly recommended for people 12+ in age, this was such a great series, 5 stars!

A satisfying blend of romance and horror.
Contrary to appearances, The Twilight Saga is not bloated with bloody action sequences. And of course that does not mean it must be boring. The action sequences that exist are well done and are not overdone. My approach to The Twilight Saga was similar to my approach to the Harry Potter books. They both seemed suitable only for teenagers. Stephenie Meyer's first book in the series, Twilight, also seemed too romantic for my male tastes, and I was afraid it would be a dish of pulp fiction smeared with vampire sleaze. But she wrote sequels, they continued to be published, and they continued to be bestsellers. So I read some reviews. The reviews gave me another reason to avoid the books: They were boring. I mean, that is what a few reviews said. Things like this: "This is not horror. Why should I care what Bella [the main character] does in class? I survived four years of boredom in my own high school. Am I supposed to pay the author to torture me with more of the same?"I refused to buy into the series. But when the first movie came out, I thought moviemakers might edit the boring parts. I saw the movie and was pleased. Likewise for the second movie. Thanks to the movies, I read more book reviews, and I noticed that the series of books had ended. That was good. In a series that does not end, the books have a habit of becoming cookie-cutter copies. Read one and you have read them all. Knowing that The Twilight Saga had an ending and seeing that amazon.com offered a good deal on a boxed set, I took a chance.(The third movie came out before I read the books, but I have postponed seeing it, not wanting to spoil my reading more than it may already have been spoiled.)Having just completed my reading of the four novels, I have reached a conclusion regarding the allegation that these books are only for teenagers. The allegation is baloney. The sole indication I found that the books are only for teenagers is the absence of vulgar language. For example, I am sure that if Meyer's characters were realistic, they would use the common F-word instead of using Meyer's "freaking." But that is not her fault. If she used the F-word, high school libraries might not shelve her books, or at least they might restrict them to eighteen-year olds. Many teenagers would be denied easy access to a story that is obviously suitable for them, if not suitable only for them.Is the story too romantic? I do I hold true to the conviction that a human being cannot love a human being. It is impossible. Also I maintain that marriage is a social invention, not a natural one. Therefore I disapproved of Bella's obsession with love, and I was wary of her mate Edward's insistence on marriage. Nevertheless these are secondary complaints. Since I do not deny males and females the freedom to cohabit, the issues of love and marriage become academic. If Bella and Edward want to live together, that is okay. (As long as they are not denied the freedom to separate.)Regarding these books having too much bloody sleaze, I think not. The blood and gore is minimal, appropriate for the telling of the story.Regarding the alleged boredom, I feel that "boredom" is too harsh. I do think the content includes much that is prosaic. Enough that I would categorize the books as romance, as well as horror. Pages are filled with domestic life, high school scenes, small talk, a beach party, lovemaking, and teenage dating. But I suppose this is standard material for romance novels, and many readers welcome it. I for one tolerated it, and I was rewarded when I got to uplifting sequences of plot development and denouement. In other words, the prosaic sequences were necessary for the development of the story.NOTE: I do not regret having seen the first two movies. Indeed if they encourage you to read the books, I recommend seeing them. Regarding the two movies, I remember them as being more violent than the books. Also, the appearances of the movie characters only hint at the aesthetic perfection of the characters in the books.

Glad I took the plunge! Such a beautiful, sleek set.
Was very hesitant to buy this set due to some reviews of damaged books or missing pages in books. Decided to finally buy them and am so glad I did! They look great! There are some slight white splotches on the back of the books but not too noticeable and it certainly doesn’t bother me. The main box edges were slightly worn just from storage but that’s expected. Books themselves are in new condition bedsides the previously mentioned white splotching. Overall love this set and so happy with how they look. Excited for my first read! Never read the books before, just watched the movies so ready to get a better look of the book version!

Twilight Saga Collection (hardback)
I just have to say that I am a very HUGE fan of TWILIGHT!!! With that being said I was not always a huge fan of it. I heard and seen the interviews, previews, ect... On everything Twilight and was just not interested. Until one day I was BIG PREGERS and very bored. Being house-bound for your entire pregnancy gets boring after awhile and so I wondered about the movie after hearing so much about it.So after about 6 months of hearing about it, I decided to watch the movie. I loved it!!! I didn't know that there was going to be more books or movies just was happy to have watched the movie and was pleased. To be totally honest I didn't even know that it was based on a book series. If I had known that, I would have just read the books first and then went for the movies.I do have to say that I did hear about Twilight after my son was born, thus is when the Twilight book first came out and I was intrigued with it, but I was also 17/18 now I'm 23. I never put the 2 puzzle pieces together that it was the same book or author until recently. So after finding out this past year that the first 3 movies were based on the books and there would be a 4th I was like man I have to get them BOOKS. So I did and I was more than pleased with them. I have read every book in just 5 days. That should tell you right there that I was like man this is too good to put down.Given that I was some what a little bit disappointed about how much the books and the movies were so different. I still cant get over the books or the movies for that matter. I am all about everything TWILIGHT!I had never been a fiction reader much every once in a-while as a kid, or when I would get free books from family or friends then yea but not really on my own. So I'm very shocked and will have to look around thanks to this series from Stephenie Meyer. You have to buy them you will not be disappointed. They are one of the best investments I have ever purchased for myself!!! For the books over all review I have to say that Twilight is good New Moon was good-er Eclipse was better and Breaking Dawn is... Well the BEST DUH!!! Books wise for me that is I loved all them but it was plots in the last book that got my attention the most with everything. But every books has its good plots mine just happened to be the love making ones (haha).Twilight you get to meet them and start to recognize the characters. Also you get more of a feel for TEAM EDWARD OR TEAM JACOB. This book would be more of the Swan Family, and Cullen Family, and the Bad Nomad Vamps, Bella's Friends.New Moon you get to love them. Really feel for them all. We get to meet the Vicious Volturi, and the Wolves.Eclipse is more or less that you understand them and fall even more in love with the characters. You meet New-Borns.And in Breaking Dawn you relate to them in your own ways, even more so given the situations that are going on. You meet tons of the Cullen Family's Friends and Relatives, New Born Family members, More of the Volturi Members. They also say that the books were based upon other famous books which you might take note on if you like them as well.Twilight - Pride and Prejudice.New Moon - Romeo and Juliet.Eclipse - Withering Heights.Breaking Dawn - A Mid Summers Night Dream and A Merchant of Venice. With all this being said I don't see how you would not be interested in reading the books!

Great except for one thing
Everything about this was great, except I got to the end of Breaking Dawn and the book jumped back about 30 pages. Then I jumped ahead to the page it’s supposed to be at, it jumped ahead. I found this with no other books, just Breaking Dawn. Not sure if it’s just an issue with my set or all sets
