CIA Masters Collection 11 Piece Round Cutter Set

First off, I have to say that I had been searching for the perfect cutter set for some time, and I found it with this one. This stainless steel cutter set is excellent. I use these all the time when I am baking and cooking. They are quality design, materials and construction. All are easy to clean, I love the many different sizes, stacking design, nice hard plastic storage container, and the overall small size that does not take up too much space in the kitchen. I highly recommend this collection of high qualtiy cutters.

This is a nice set of sizes in a handy container, though the metal is thinner, less quality than I expected. Some of them were bent slightly out of circle. Easy enough to bend back, but would like a better quality, especially where the circles are joined (joins are not shown in photo). Also in the photo it appears the cutting edge is slightly tapered or sharpened, they do not actually have that feature but have a blunt cutting edge. Since the steel is so thin, the cutting edge is thin enough to not be a problem.

I was really happy when I found these, and have been really happy using them so far. I have used them for cookie cutters and for making round eggs. I have no complaints about their usage.My only concern is about how long they will actually last. The pictures of the unit do a nice job of hiding the seem but of course it has to have one. The seem isn't the strongest bond so I doubt this will really last a lifetime, but there is a lifetime warranty on them. Not sure what that covers or the process. The second issue that concerns me for durability is their thickness. The smaller circles are great, but the larger ones don't get any thinker, and therefore, they are slightly flimsy. I am not saying this causes issues while using them. I am questioning just how long this units will last durability wise. To help protect the units, I am hand washing them to prevent water from sitting in the seems. It does, however, say that the units are dishwasher safe.They are made out of the finest stainless steel, and they come in a plastic container that you can store them in to help keep them together and organized in your kitchen drawer/cabinet. The cutting side is very thin to make clean cuts, and the other side is rounded to save your hands.Overall, I am happy with my purchase, and I will just have to wait and see if the items last for years. I do recommend purchasing this product at this time.

This cutter set is a good value. I've used it twice already. Although they are not tall, I was still able to use one for plating a tall salad and I used one to cook with as an egg form. So, I've used them three times! They do also cut dough. ha Just one critique, I did think the metal was a little thin, but when you consider the price and all of the sizes that come with it (that I would not have bought otherwise), I'm glad to have the full set. They come in a round plastic case for storing, which takes away the hassle of keeping them together. Buy it!

Item arrived quickly but damaged. The plastic case cannot survive being shipped in a bubble pouch. The cutters are in good condition. If Amazon continues to ship this item in a pouch, do not buy.

These things are brilliant, I'm still finding uses for them! I actually used them to cut out fondant potatoes and they cut through raw potato just fine, dough doesn't really stand a chance.I also used them for plating as Round Forms, they are different sizes so if you're really picky you'd have to use one - wash it - use it again, ect. (or if you're not picky just use similar sizes, nobody can really tell) I'm not a restaurant or chef though I just like doing fancy cook things because it's fun.

They are too short for most of my use-cases. I ended up reversing packing a 500ml beaker instead.

This is a great set of cutters--every size you could ever want and with a rounded edge on one side for comfort while pushing. I particularly liked the fact that they didn't have handles, so they are easier to store, plus it is easy to spoon something in if you just want to use one as a size guide for, say, making parmesan chips. The set also comes in a little plastic case to keep them all organized. All in, a great product--which would normally rate a 5-star review. I downgraded the rating only on account of the dismal packaging. The seller just puts the set in a manila envelope for shipping, and if the plastic case arrives in one piece (mine was cracked but usable), it is only by the grace of god.
