Binatone Designer 2115 Single DECT Telephone with Answer Machine

We bought this to replace an expensive one that had terrible reception and we wanted something trendy.Not only does it look great, but it works brilliantly with very clear reception. The price is greta AND you get an answer phone. All products should be this good.

Looks great, very smart and streamlined. Works fine the only negative I can see is the very very extensive instructions. I've had it a while now but am still wading through them trying to find out how to retrieve messages. I think this says more about me than the product though to be fair. Would definitely recommend. Really fast and free delivery too, which is always good.

Look good, simple to set up.The volume received by callers is not great. Sometimes get complaints that I can’t be heard - but to be absolutely fair this could be the callers phone and not ours.

Thought it was time to change the living room phone - so I bought this phone as it looked quite cool and had all the standard features. What I liked about it was the way you can put the phone 2 ways into the cradle. It has a nice sleek design. Actual usage was good, very clear reception. The only problem was, I dropped it the other day and it was probably less than 1/2 metre - so not a big drop onto the carpet and it stopped working! Surprised as I thought it would be a bit sturdy than that.

The phone looks great but the quality is very poor. the handset is light and looks cheap, and the sound is very poor. When I am speaking on the phone, the person on the other line can't hear me, nor can I really hear them. But having said that, I am keeping it because it does work, (although I do have to shout down the phone).

So disappointing - this phone looked good, but sounded awful - with a continuous echo which got much worse mid conversation if you just happened to touch the part of the phone which connects to the charger.The screen on the phone has a horizontal line going through the centre of the display making this very small screen even more unreadable.In addition I had several calls that I could not answer, despite picking up the phone within 3 rings and pressing the answer button... after several attempts the person awaiting my answer must have hung up... and when I did a 1471 the number revealed was in fact the last call I was able to receive - NOT the one I had missed... which was infuriating!After 24 hours I decided that too many calls were being missed and therefore thought it best to return to my old handset... The next call was from my sister who was unwell and had been trying to phone me!It is still unknown who the other missed calls were from - which is extremely annoying, as I have several elderly relatives.THIS BINATONE TELEPHONE IS DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD PURCHASE - I have returned it now & fortunately Amazon have given me a refund.

It works. It didn't cost a fortune, to say the least. Had the previous incarnation for 5 years before it gave up the ghost. Has all the facilities needed for a landline. I have nothing negative to say. I've tested all the functions. All good. This is a bit like writing a review on Spaghetti. There wouldn't have been much difference in quality, if I'd paid for one that was 3x the price. So, there you go! It has a weird thing, where you can place it in the base backwards. Makes it look a bit Art Deco come Star Trek, as in the picture. Better the other way round, which you can do. Designer must have had a moment!

Let's face it who uses landlines these days? Well, my parents and parents-in-law and that's about it. So didn't want to spend a load on a phone that doesn't get used a lot. Positive: good design (especially that it can go in the cradle either way), clear buttons. Negative: a little uncl;ear sometimes, menu system a bit clunky to use.
