Verdict is still out
Picture is ok, but I don’t think it’s any better than the old Panasonic it is replacing. The channel scan is not finding any of my cable channels. The IR blaster seems to be non-functioning. Problem may be my set top box, but right now I’m not too happy with my purchase. I’ve been fiddling with this a full day trying to get everything to work.

Sony Quality is very good---instructions easy for me to follow.
To replace older---12 years---Sony tv and DVD player and sound system. Older guy who uses cable tv and has the timeto figure out how to put together and enable streaming features. Enjoyed streaming and learned how to use system.Don't know technical aspects but whole system is easy enough for me to put together and enjoy !Pat

Great customer experience; all thanx to Sony and Amazon.
It is as smart as it gets for my purposes, I use the built in Google Assistant for all of my smart home devices. Picture quality is mostly good, with those colours popping even at awkward angles, and it upscales my BluRays perfectly andmy DVD's and network video files decently. It's streaming Netflix, Google Movies, DSTV Now, PS4and my NAS videos that I only use this thing for, I don't watch RF broadcasts. The only step back I feel there is would be those mediocre black levels, my 8 year old KDL43EX520 it replaces scrubs the floor with it when it comes to contrast and making details pop off the screen, and that's a real shame. Nevertheless, it is something I had expected but I do wish Sony would have at least stuck with a VA panel with this model. Overall though, I am happy with my purchase. Happy Amazon customer here :) :) :)

No ESPN!
TV is good except it will not stream ESPN smoothly. Other apps all work just fine, but not ESPN. There is lots of info on the Sony forums with suggestions but nothing works. Don’t buy if you like sports!

Unreliable
We bought 3 Sonys on Thanksgiving Day, 2019. This was has performed the worst. It needs resetting about every other time, and sometimes multiple times. It might take you 10-15 minutes just to turn the darn thing on. Very disappointing. I thought Sonys were reliable.
