I use this product regularly. I have Crohn's disease and it is an excellent protein and nutrition source. I mix mine with water and a scoop of flavorless colostrum (different product) and it tastes great. It's very lite too so I don't feel overly full from it. I usually do the 4 scoop serving suggestion but increase to 6-8 if I need more calories that day. The downside is the price. 10 services for about $80 is not cheap and I sometimes take this daily, but it's an effective meal replacement.

I used this as an elemental diet ( mixed with water) for 30 days as a treatment for SIBO. I have hydrogen SIBO. I first tried two rounds of Xifaxan antibiotics which didn’t work for me as well as a Low Fod map diet. My last resort is an elemental diet. This is a great product and the flavor is great compared to some other elemental ‘s on the market. You do need to use the Unsweetened formulas so I recommend this one only. I found that one tub last me about 5 days for my goal of 3 shakes a day. Some days I would do 4 shakes a day at 3 scoops per serving. Recommends 4 scoops but I was also wanting to loose some weight. This worked out good for me. Once my 10 lbs was lost I upped my dose back up to the 4 scoops and 4 shakes a day to maintain my current wanted weight. I did add a multiple vitamin and a few other natural antibiotics with this. I did get the die off period from the SIBO and felt I needed a bit more magnesium than this product had in it. If anyone needs or wants to do an elemental I highly recommend this product. I’m hoping I have won this SIBO battle !!!

Excellent product! It's only 10 servings per 2.2 lb container, but worth every penny! My husband and I will continue to buy! For the few complaining about the taste. This one is UNSWEETENED VANILLA. Pick from their other flavors that are sweetened. Product is delicious, quality made with cold pressed protein that works very well for us.

I usually buy this from the website. I have GI issues and periodically have to go on the Absorb Plus regime. It has helped me more than medical doctor has! LISTEN TO YOUR GUT with Joni Patel is the website I go to. Mini wrote the book I follow. I had access to the Universiety of Texas GI department here in San Antonio. After 2 yrs, the head of the GI dept. FIRED me as a patient! She said she couldn’t help me any,ore! I’m serious! It was Jinin’s book and ABSORB PLUS that gor my gut settled down. I swear this on my granddaughter’s life! If you’re having chronic IBS-D look into Jini’s program! And follow it! It’s a lot of shakes but worth it! AbsorbPlus French Vanilla tastes very good and is easy to use. It also appears to be easy on the gut system. However, the product information does not mention that it only has 10 servings in a 2.2 pound package. That works out to almost $7 per serving. Doesn't work for longtime use.

I bought this to use for an elemental diet to treat SIBO. it failed miserably. i was burping and passing an incredible amout of gas while on a low fodmap diet just eating Absorp Plus. i learned what the reason was. i have another sugar intolerance CSID (table sugar and simple starches in excess), that was missed all my life. this carb shake while huirting me bad, actually brought that condition to light. i can not use an elemental diet on topioca starch when i have a sugar/starch intolerance. thank you so much for exaggerating the issue so i could get the right antibiotics and diet figured out. ive been trying for years without sucess to find the root of my IBS. i had to use a protien shake with low carb/sugar to make my elemantal diet work.

Tastes pretty good but maltodextrin causes insulin spike and associated crash in energy levels

Meal replacement for crohns. Is very valuable and easily digested.
