Spoiler Alert!
These are fabulous books! There are some things that I have seen in reviews that I would like to address so that people will have a different perspective.Firstly I would like to say that Catherine does seem a little redundant sometimes, but I have found it fascinating to read what she is thinking at all times. She carries with her a great hatred for her mother all through the books. It is also quite clear that she wishes that her mother would redeem herself, and once again care for her children as she has before their father died. She is like many people with a wish of vengeance; she thinks about it constantly! Catherine is very confused all through the series. One thing that really bothers her is the sin in which she's committed with her relationship with Christopher. In Petals she flies through men like nothing trying to escape those unwanted but consuming feelings. You can almost take pity on her because she is trying to find a man that she can compare graciously to Christopher.Secondly I have found so many bad reviews about If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday. I found it very interesting to hear Bart and Jory's side of things. I think Bart was traumatized by all the family secrets! They were shared with him at a very young age at the same time he was learning religion by someone not fit to teach it. I think Bart tried to cope by creating himself to be like Malcolm. A man who was not easily intimidated, and made many people fearful of him. Bart wanted that. He didn't want the little boy he was to cringe every time he was told of a family member. And his way of dealing with these family secrets was to be Malcolm; a man that seemed to handle everything. The Malcolm in him wanted to hate Catherine, but the Bart side wanted him to love her. Because Jory is older he is able to cope better with all the information, but he is still left confused and angry a lot. Who wouldn't be angry if there parents lied about almost everything? Bart was easily influenced by John Amos. He believed that women were all evil seductresses. But when it came to Bart's mom, he couldn't help but love her. And the result of that was he didn't want any man in her life but him. He despised Christopher and Jory completely. It was much like the relationship between Malcolm and his daughter Corrine. For Malcolm wanted no man in Corrine's life, but him.Overall the books were amazing and I totally recommend them to anyone interested!

NOT INDIVIDUAL BOOKS! Five stars to the seller for immediate attention.
I was so disappointed after paying the higher price for individual books, I received two books printed together twice as in almost 800 pages under oneCover. When the seller was contacted she said the individual books have been out of print and she refunded the difference in money. No problems at all. Just my disappointment and a heads up to be aware of what you will receive.

Loved this series. I read Flowers in the Attic and Pedals on the Wind 40 years ago when my mom purchased them. I am now on book 10 out of 11 books of the series. I'm going to be sad when I complete them .I just cant put them down!

A great series
I'll always like the first book the most - its strange magic, drama, and heartbreak. In the rest of the books we see Cathy almost become her mother, hell-bent on revenge instead of letting go of past traumas and allowing herself and her family to be happy. However, I love how it all ironically comes crashing down around her in the end. It's such a sad series that you might want to break up reading these books because reading them all in a short space of time like I did will honestly make you feel depressed.Garden of Shadows was EPIC.

Intriguing Novels!
These books are wonderful! I am so glad I own the entire set now! Many years ago, when I was 18 years old, I read "Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the Wind and Seeds of Yesterday." I never got to read "If There Be Thorns , and Garden of Shadows." Now that I own the whole set, I can read all the books. I am now 45 years old. These books are worth the many years long wait. I am only sorry the author, Virginia Andrews died in 1986. The year I turned 19 years old.Thank you,Melody Tiffany Humphries(Today a parent and Caregiver)

The best book series ever!
I had some of these books growing up, and loved them. VC Andrews is an amazing writer, and her Flowers in the Attic series will keep you riveted. It’s hard to put down the book. I can’t wait to read them all again!
