Great pick for multiple instruments and styles of playing
This is my second favorite pick after my Bluechip. If you know what a Bluechip is, then you know what I’m talking about. I like using hard picks because they give more control and more pinpoint accuracy while playing. This pick is great for picking melodies and strumming chords. Also, there is almost no noise from the pick itself on the string. Some of the large triangle picks make a loud “clicky” sound as it hits the string and rolls off. These are almost silent (Bluechip is quieter). The large size also gives you lots of room to grab and hold on to the pick and some flexibility on how you hold it because there is so much real estate. The pick if very durable and I’m yet to wear one out. I usually destroy a celluloid pick in about a week of solid practicing. I also like the bevel of the tip and the angle. Too wide of a tip makes single line melodies sound muddy. Too pointy makes the tone harsh and slows me down on fast runs. This pick works really well for both acoustic guitar, 12 string guitar, mandolin, and electric guitar. I haven’t tried it on a bass yet but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on a bass.

NOT like Bluechips... but good picks.
I think people compare these to BlueChips simply because they have a similar appearance. However, they are made from a different material and really have very little in common. I returned them and will stick to my tiny collection of Blue Chips. However, if Blue Chips did not exist, and I only knew cheap picks, I will tell you, these are a radical improvement over those. They also cost a bit more, which might have annoyed people in the past. Most of the cost comes from hand beveling the picks, but frankly, if you play a pick enough, they bevel themselves anyway... So yeah, these are great. They could change your picking entirely, for the better. They are not as good as BlueChips, though, not in feel, not in the way they glide through the strings, not in their durability or sound. It is a small difference, between BlueChip and Primetone, but it is a BIG small difference. The playabliity and glide are also rather large differences.

Great pick!
I was skeptical for a couple of reasons; 1. the size, I have never used this big of a pick in all the 50+ years of playing; 2. the thickness, my picks where always .80 and 1.0mm. I was concerned that I would not like the thickness. What a difference it has made in my playing. The fact that you can use all three corners makes it very nice. I play bluegrass music and need a strong pick to produce the sound I want. I will never have another pick!

Makes Sounds
When the picks are used in a mandolin or a dulcimer they make a click sound on the strings. Also due to the thickness of the picks on the mandolin the pick will Nick the string above the string you play. Otherwise the picks are fine. They are Easy to hold

Awesome for Mandolin!!!
Going from guitar picks for mandolin to this was a HUGE difference!!! Doesn’t get hung on the strings and it improved my tone!!! Also, way louder!!! I highly recommend these for mandolin!!!

My fav mandolin picks
I found out about these on a mandolin forum some time back. I have used Wegens, which are good. This pick is better. It is counter-intuitive to use a large-ish pick on mandolin, but give it a try. The size gives grip and control. I get good volume, tremolo, dynamics, all you could ask. I have not tried the super-expensive blue chips, but this is the best pick for mandolin in the realistic price range.

I like em
I really like these. There a little larger then I'm used to but they have a cool shape to them and I also really like how the points are beveled on only one side of each point. Same on the back side. When picking up and down it's like is worn on the edges where you pick the most. It reminds me of how a fan blade is beveled on one side. I dont know how else to describe it but you can see it in the products photos and mine. These are nice to use when picking up and down. I would call it alternate picking but I dont think I do it the true way. I'm probably more of a hybrid alternate picker. Either way these are very nice and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Can pick notes or jam power chords but I think there a little to heavy to strum chords.

Love the feel!!
A lot of people say these aren’t as good as a blue chip.I’ve never owned a blue chip so I don’t know.but I’ve always had a problem getting comfortable with a pick.I’ve used every style and thickness.and read that these were really close to a blue chip so thought for the money I’d try it.glad I did.the feel and tone of these picks are awesome! Slides across the strings like a dream.my playing has just improved.

Nice plectra. I found it great for playing my Mandolin.

Fantastic pick for mandolin. Slips on the strings for for fast action and provide great tone and volume. Good on guitar too but a little brittle sounding for softer strumming. Well worth the premium price tag.

These are some of the best picks you can buy. They sound very close to a blue chip without the crippling cost.
