North South Belacan (Dried Shrimp Paste) (20 oz.)

I've used shrimp paste before and they all have an extreme smell. This package however has a strange chemical smell and I wonder if it's counterfeit. To the trash it goes and buyer beware, 20$ dollars is almost in scam territory.
