Perfect Fit For 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4L - Rough Idle Fix
Installed for client's 2005 PT Cruiser 2.4L I4 @ 180,000 Miles with check engine light due to rough idle / random misfire / poor performance. Another mechanic had incorrectly diagnosed as a fuel pump failure which is a very expensive and unnecessary repair (noted here in case others receive the same incorrect diagnosis). Original plugs were severely worn with close to .100 gap and missing platinum discs!HINT: Do replace your spark plug wires at the same time as the plugs. You'll be glad you did. I used these and they work perfectly fine: uxcell 671-4079 Auto Car Engine Spark Plug Cable Ignition Wire Set of 4 for 2001-2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Sebring Dodge 4 Cylinder NOTE: This engine is equipped with aluminum heads. DO NOT attempt spark plug removal until engine is completely cool, otherwise you will cause irreparable damage to the heads. Also, a shot of WD40 at the base of each spark plug and 10 minutes will help with removal.Replacement procedure is simple.Remove the six or seven 8mm upper intake manifold retaining bolts.Loosen the air intake clamp at the throttle body.Lift the upper intake manifold and retain out of the way using a bungee cord.Remove old plug wire by gently twisting to break tension, then pull to remove.Using 5/8" plug socket and 6" extension, remove spark plug and discard.Ensure new spark plug is gapped at 0.040".Place a small amount of anti-seize to the new plug threads.Install new plug and tighten to proper torque.Using cotton swab, apply a very small amount of dielectric grease to the boot interior at each end (just the boot - not the terminal).Reinstall new plug wire and be sure you feel it snap onto the spark plug, and the other end onto the coil.Repeat these steps for each cylinder until all are done.Lower intake manifold back in place and tighten to spec from interior bolts to the outside (no new gaskets required).Tighten clamp at air intake to throttle body.Enjoy your new found performance!

Bought because of rebate, turns out not to be a great deal
Got these for about $4 each with the rebate. Even at W*lm*rt they cost about $7 each. These will probably last until I sell the car in another 100k miles.Update 8/5/2013 - Promotion Fulfillment Center, a division of Blue Monde, LLC., the rebate company Autolite uses for its promotions does not "fulfill" anything. I sent in the required paperwork over 1.5 months ago and they not only don't show any status but they won't respond to requests submitted through their own system to explain why. I've been forced to use them before, for 2 other rebates, and they were horrible to deal with and exceedingly slow to send rebates. Another fly-by-night company that should be put out of business. Too bad Autolite does business with these crooks. Anyway, I've contacted Autolite directly and we'll see what they say.Bottom line...instead of getting above average plugs for a great price I ended up with above average plugs for an average price, which equals still equals 4 stars for the plugs. Just wish I could rate Promotion Fulfillment Center as they would get 1 star rating with a zero star review.Update 9/2/2013 - After attempting to contact Promotion Fulfillment Center a few more times I emailed Autolite. I informed them that PFC's customer service was severely lacking and that assosciating with them commercially was putting a bad light on the Fram Group (owners of Autolite). I received a nice reply saying they'd look into my complaint. Low and behold, 10 days later I receive my rebate. Thanks Fram, but I'll still think twice about buying any item with a rebate processed by PFC.

Use these if your engine isn't bone stock.
I have an 04 Ram 1500 with a 5.7L Hemi, cold air intake kit, Pacesetter truck headers, and a Gibson exhaust. I put a set of these in about 65k miles ago and just recently replaced them because I began to see a slow decline in gas mileage. When I put in the first set I got about 15% better economy and smoother acceleration. The main plug was definitely starting to go bad however, unlike the copper core spark plugs, the secondary plug looked near new. As a result rather than needing all 16 plugs, I only needed 8. I would recommend using these and then only replacing all 16 every other change, and I would definitely recommend these if you have performance mods.

Quality
These were installed in a chysler sebring and I did not notice an increase in horse power, smoother idling, faster start-up or better gas mileage. The truth is i was NOT expecting this since i don't purchase spark plugs for performance enhancement.I did buy these (and i am very satisfied) because iridium is stronger and has a higher melt point them platinum. I intend to get 100k miles out of these and not have to worry about my plugs. These really are a good value if you intend on keeping and maintaining your car for awhile.

Perfect for those looking to choose a spark plug that ...
Perfect for those looking to choose a spark plug that has better durability* and a more focused ignition for better overall ignitability** and optimum performance. Its like choosing a 5 star restaurant versus a 2-3 star one: excellent design quality and attention to detail versus good quality service, design and physical attributes that are a typical fit for sake of having a spark plug.

2005 Dodge Magnum Hemi
Replaced OEM plugs at 60k miles......Car was running fine but seemed a little hesitant while cold slow accelerating. These plugs seemed to even that out. Researching which plugs to replace originals with it was indicated that the iridiumplugs may increase performance and gas mileage....Car always performed well so not sure there is identifiable differencebut it is smooth. As far as gas mileage, haven't checked that yet as I didn't buy a Hemi to save on fuel.
