Fantastic little dingeon crawl-- good family fun!
The is a fantastic games for kids and very playable by adults. My 6 and 9 year old have played this non-stop for about 3 days and played with many friends. Rules are pretty straightforward and set up is simple. Shuffle cards, removed boss card Shadow Mage and keep him in criteria are met. Deal 7 cards to each player (2-4 players). Any gems or coins go into your backpack in front of you ( visible to other players). All treasure chests are placed in the dungeon ( beside the draw pile) All other initial cards to your hand ( weapons, monsters and thieves). Drawing from the deck-- one card per turn-- add to your gems and coins or collect swords and shields in your hand. If a monster is drawn it is played in the dungeon and each player in turn must act on the monster (s) till all are defeated. This is where the fun bit comes in.... you can use a shield to deflect the monster, scare him away with a bigger monster, cancel him with the same monster from your hand, deal damage with a weapon or pay him off. When the monster (s) are finally defeated ( same number of weapon points as hearts to the monster(s) )-- whichever player defeated the monster will collect any gems or coins that the monster had been payed by other players. Treasure chest can be opened with a key only when there are no monsters in the dungeon... When one player has played the last card in his/her hand the Shadow Mage card is brought into the dungeon-- when the Shadow Mage is defeated the game is over and any other monster runs away dropping any loot they were carrying. My kids can't wait for an expansion.

Good for a 3 or 4 year old. Not for adults or older kids.
I wanted to like this game, as my 5 and 6 year old love playing Dungeon! and other board games. This one seems like it would be perfect younger children to get them interested in board and card games. My kids and I never got into this one, though. I keep wanting to try to change the rules somehow to make it so you enter the dungeon, fight monsters, then get a treasure as a reward, but it's all very random and doesn't fit together well in my opinion.

So boring! My six year old loves it
So boring! My six year old loves it, so I bumped it up a star. But there is nothing there for an adult to engage with. It’s impossible to lose to monsters, so no challenge.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I was looking for a D&D type game that was both engaging and simple enough for my 7 year old while entertaining enough for my wife and me to play too. This game is great. We only played about 4 games but each time it very different. A lot depends on how the cards come out. There is a little strategy but can be pretty straight forward too. The card art is well done as are the quality of the whole set. I hope they develop more games like this. You can easily add some “house rules” to make it even more fun. We leave treasure chests out of initial hand and mix into the deck before the first persons turn. Great game.

Great Game!
Great game! We just started playing it a week ago. My kids are 5 and 6 and they love it. My wife is not into things like MtG or D&D but she found this to be really fun. Think fun and simple like Uno, but fantasy gameplay. It really does simulate some of the aspects of a dungeon crawl. It can be cutthroat or cooperative. You can have a tie and there can even be no winners. Even losing is fun. We got overwhelmed during the boss fight and we were trying to buy off the monsters, but one by one we ran out of coins and wiped. Some games take 5 minutes and others you wind up reusing the discard pile and they go on for a while. Lots of variety, lots of fun.

Mixed feelings
We have mixed feelings on this one. Easy for a kid to understand but also easy to get bored of.

This is a fun little game for the kiddo
This is a fun little game for the kiddo. I've altered the rules a little to make the gameplay more reliable, as the out-of-the-box rules sometimes leave the game redundant or slow.

Great Dungeon Crawl Introduction for Kids!
My nieces and nephew love this game, and have requested that I continue to bring it to family gatherings. It is simple enough for kids five or six plus to learn, and plays quickly, to keep their attention. If you love dungeon crawl card or board games, and want to share that with the younger crowd in your family, this is a great place to start. (I also recommend that you Google the game and watch a video walk-through, before running them through it the first time.)
