I don't know about you but I hate the books that over complicate learning and understanding about ...
Literally, the funniest thing I have ever read. I wasn't sure what to expect with this book , especially on Kindle, but I was pleasently surprised. This is legit the only way to explore wines. I don't know about you but I hate the books that over complicate learning and understanding about wine! There's no need for it! This book is darn right hilarious! Also, the illustrations - I have NEVER had an experience with a kindle as joyful as this one, the illustrations and color make it so much fun to keep reading - or is it that I'm reading it with wine... it's one or the other, i'll let you experience that for yourself :) You definitely need to have a good sense of humor to read this book, as it is exactly as it reads, it's a children's book parody for.... wine... Never have I ever thought that I would read in a sentence about a mouse's Pinot Grigio, alas, I have. I also learned that it's sweet or dry but more acidic then other wines.... hmm... that explains a few things for me ;) Who knew? Probably someone who listens at tastings but again, never me... Great book! highly recommend it .

All Wines Are My Wine
For adults who have read the classic “Are You My Mother” to children, they will appreciate and “get the parody” for “Are You My Wine.” Even for people who have not read the children’s classic, this is a wonderful way to explore wine. I am typical of most people, in thinking that I don’t know enough about wine, I will mispronounce the names of different wines, and there are unique ways to describe wine. Because “Are You My Wine,” is written like a children’s book with talking animal characters, it dispels all those ideas, while providing factual information about wine in a fun, easy manner. With a funny commentary, “Are You My Wine” takes us through the most popular wines, noting what to eat with them from Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, among others. There is no wine lover who won’t learn something from this joyful book, and someone new to wine will learn a lot! Highly recommend it!

It’s like Wine for Dummies, but in a children’s book
Full disclosure, I do not drink alcohol of any kind. My wife likes wine. After losing a Goodreads giveaway for this book, I decided to give it to my wife for Christmas. She thought the book was cute and informative. She even decided on trying a new wine after reading about it. She would give the book four stars. I thought it was a two-star book, so I settled in the middle. The book wasn’t as whimsical as either of us anticipated. The artwork is good, but the story doesn’t rhyme. It is a list of facts that are useful for new wine drinkers, but simply told by various animals. I feel bad for the poor penguin. He’ll have a terrible hangover in the morning. An animal that small shouldn’t drink 13 glasses of wine in a single night.

This book is so cute! I love the super-fun illustrations and the way the story guides you through Penguin's experience with all the different wines. As a non-wine drinker, it was a great primer in wine. Just enough information to get a sense of each type of wine but not so much as to overwhelm. The book teaches you about Champagne, Pinot Grigio, Sauvingon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Rose, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabarnet Sauvingon, Malbec, Syrah and Port. It's also hilarious to see all the different animals drinking wine. I'm planning to use this book with some bottles of wine to make a cute Christmas gift.

You would Pair Great With This Book!
A hilarious, irreverent adult take on a children's classic. The illustrations are fun and reminiscent of your childhood while the text is something your grown up side can enjoy. This is the ideal book for that one friend who's an absolute wine aficionado (or perhaps a gift for yourself if you are that friend). Aside from the jokey fun nature of the book there's some surprisingly legitimate wine facts and info that will impress the sommelier in your life. Give this book a read and pass it on to the next person to share the joy, pair this book with a nice full glass of wine.

This parody chronicles a night out of drinking in pursuit of the penguin’s favorite wine, complete with animal characters and beautiful illustrations
“Are You My Wine?” takes classic childhood story tropes and talking animals and turns them on their heads. This parody chronicles a night out of drinking in pursuit of the penguin’s favorite wine, complete with animal characters and beautiful illustrations. While humorous (and relatable…), this book is surprisingly educational. Weaved throughout the story are helpful explanations and facts about a wide variety of wines. Ranging from how different wines get their color, to which wines pair well with certain foods, to the range of characteristics of several different wines, this book is not only charming, but educational. As a person with literally zero knowledge of wine, I genuinely think I may use this book on future wine shopping excursions (as ridiculous as it may sound!).

Saddle up with a glass of wine and enjoy the wine parody that is “Are You My Wine
Saddle up with a glass of wine and enjoy the wine parody that is “Are You My Wine?” If you want the perfect gifty book for the wine lover in your life than this book is the bees knees. I love all the animal illustrations, detailing how to pair your wine with different foods. I know I’ve experienced a bit of a learning curve with wine pairings in the past, but this book really does break down it all down into simple and fun, to-dos. As a strictly Cabarnet Sauvignon drinker (mostly for dinner), I feel much more confident in broadening my scope to brunch and lunch (did you know you can have Rose for brunch? I didn’t). “Are You My Wine?” is a cute, easy read with fun facts about the good ‘ol vino. It’s definitely something I share with friends as a lightweight reference guide through the variety of wines that are out there and what to do with them.
