I’ve bought these several times before and will be buying them again. The kit is nice and I like that the net is reusable. Such a fun learning. experience.

Great learning experience for kids and adults! It’s easy to use. Instructions are easy. My only complaint is I have ordered this numerous times and every time I only get four caterpillars even though it’s states you should get five. I feel like this point they owe me a free cup of caterpillars lol. Definitely worth buying. It makes a great gift also. Also, the netting tent they come in last a long time so we can do butterflies every year!

We purchased these directly from Insect Lore a year ago and had a great experience. All 5 of our butterflies emerged and were healthy. When I saw I could order from the same company through Amazon, I was excited!When these caterpillars arrived, they were full grown and couldn’t climb up the sides to the lid to form their pupas, so all 5 turned into pupas at the bottom of the container. They tuned into pupas less than 24 hours after we received them, so we weren’t able to observe the caterpillars growth. Two of the butterflies were unable to completely emerge from the chrysalis and all 3 others were deformed and unable to fly. We didn’t have any healthy butterflies from our order, which was a huge bummer!

Great product! My students love growing the caterpillars and I like all the extra accessories it came with. I use the little log holder year after year to prop the lid up in the net.

Would 100% recommend. Over all great experience for myself and my daughter. I received the caterpillars super fast after ordering. Unfortunately one of the caterpillars did not make it within a few days so that left me with 4. All 4 caterpillars had went into their cocoon. 2 butterflies just came out today and I’m still waiting on the last 2.I plan to set the 2 butterflies free after 24 hours so their wings can dry and expand.Make sure when purchasing these you also buy the butterflies enclosures separate as they do not come with it.First 2 pictures are of the caterpillars after a few days of getting them ( they grow so fast)Last 2 pictures show my 2 beautiful butterflies that hatched. Just waiting on 2 more!!This was so much fun

Overall good- kids loved it. 1 died immediately and 1 died a week in. 1 had deformed wings. 2 made it and flew away with ease :)

I've never had an issue ordering, but we only got 3 caterpillars this time when the listing states 5. So I'm hoping that all 3 make it to the end or my kids will be devastated.
