Killer bag for moms on-the-go
Let me preface my review--I am a stay-at-home mom of an active toddler. We spend full days out of the house. The car becomes our second home, and this is my new closet. (And this is a real review, our money bought it, and I'm writing this to help other active moms seeking an alternative bag!)For non-moms, I looked high and low trying to find info on how the inside of this bag worked, with little luck. It came with GREAT photos that helped me to understand what the interior components looked like. They are posted, I hope they can help you...I wish I had them when I was shopping! For moms (or compulsive packers): I wanted a gym bag for myself that would enable me to take everything I needed to cover any of my preferred workouts: spinning, running, or swimming. I needed a wet area for sweaty clothes, and a place to put shower shoes and wet towels without them getting stinky. It had to hold snacks and water bottles for me and my toddler for a full day. My cell phone and sunglasses had to be accessible and protected. And it needed to be backpack style, so my hands could be free to pick up my toddler when needed. Diaper bags have spoiled me. They are well organized, so now I expect the same from a gym bag.I never thought I would get a triathlon bag. I suppose raising a toddler is a triathlon of sorts! (All respect to formal triathletes!) My husband teases me for how huge this bag is, it's no joke...I'm 5'9" and it dwarfs me. But most importantly, it holds EVERYTHING I need to be completely independent for a whole day. I can spin at the gym and have my spinning shoes to clip in for a great ride. I have running shoes. My mp3 player, heart rate monitor, and headphones are safe. I have room for shower shoes and full shower gear to clean up after a swim. There's space for swimming gear (and shower clean-up) for me and a toddler -- the works...soap, brushes, snacks, towels, swimsuits, dry clothes, extra clothes.)I was hesitant to get this bag because it looked manly. It's black, but in person the red was less intense. It's worked great for us. A little unconventional use, but it fit the bill! There's a reason it received a design award, it's really well-thought out. (Something every mom can appreciate.) It holds a lot, but it's all very easy to get to.

A versatile multipurpose backpack
At last, I've found a bag that will hold my bike helmet, chain lock, water bottle, gym clothes (including cycling shoes), work clothes (including dress shoes), lunch, laptop, books or magazines, and sundries—and I'm not anywhere near its capacity. It serves as my commute bag, gym bag, and luggage. The backpack is indeed cavernous. But unlike many athletic/bike packs, it consists of more than just a single roomy chamber with a roll-top flap closure. It has multiple zippered compartments and pockets, and this baby can expand to accommodate everything I need to haul. It's so well-equipped that I no longer use panniers on my bike to commute to work. I especially like the waist and chest straps, which keep it stably secured.A challenge (in a good way) is figuring out what to use the array of compartments for. I believe in having more space than I need because you never know what might change in your daily needs. (Even the waist strap has zippered pockets, so my keys go in one and my security badge for work in the other.)Until I saw that the guy who sits next to me in my RPM class at the gym uses one, I didn't realize that Speedo made backpacks (I thought Speedo was just swimsuits, à la Agent Mulder in season 1). I investigated and found this model. Good times.

Simply Amazing
Got this bag for an Ironman Race and it is amazing. Has endless pockets and zippers with tons and tons of storage. The way the backpack opens like a suitcase is genius. It allows you to access all of your clothing and gear without having to dig through a bag from the top. The wet suite compartment is awesome and keeps everything organized. The front of the pack has a great place to hold your helmet and keeps it safe. The top of the backpack has a cloth compartment for your sunglasses. I had this bag loaded with gear for my race and it was very comfy for the long walk from the car to the bike transition. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this bag. It is a must have for triathletes or anyone looking for a big backpack with tons of storage.

Great pack - Not just for triathletes!!
Not just for triathletes! Brilliant configuration!! We love this backpack! DH and I race to get it first for camping trips. There certainly are lighter backpacks but the ease of access makes up for a lot! No more unpacking everything to get to your (insert random item you didn't think you would need til later) so you stuffed it at the bottom of your pack. Here's how we do it:Main pocket - clothes, towelHelmet pocket - compact sleeping bagSide pocket 1 - travel pillowSide pocket 2 - water bottleExpandable Bottom - cooking gear & foodShoe pocket - flip flops/water shoesDirt bag - wet itemsGoggle pocket - sunglasses and fragile itemsThere are multiple other pockets for organization freaks like myself - meds, snacks, kids stuff, all have their own area!Just ordered another for my son. Thinking of getting a third for DH but I rather enjoy the race 😉
