A must have for the Sony ZV-1!
This is a must have for ZV1 owners. I love the built-in stabilization that this camera provides, but the crop that it adds is horrible. I looked at other wide angle lenses for this camera, but knowing myself and how rough I am sometimes with my gear, I didn't think that simply adhering the lens to the front was an option for me. So I found this after watching a review on youtube and this works so well! Not only does it give me the wide angle I need, but it also allows you to add ND filter. I bought a cheap Neewer Variable ND filter that fits right on top of the wide angle lens. Keep in mind you'll need to find a 62mm filter if you're going to do so. It's changed the game for me. Now I can shoot wide angles AND in broad daylight without things being over-exposed or blown out. I'm very happy with my rig and i'm so happy with my purchase. I wouldn't even think about it, just buy it. Yes it's a bit expensive, but it's so worth it.

Best Wide Angle Lens for the Sony ZV-1
This is in my opinion a great accessory for your Sony ZV-1. I picked this up to replace my Ulanzi WL-1. Attaching this to the Sony ZV-1 is really simple and unlike the Ulanzi lens, it does not hang directly onto the camera's lens. I also like that you don't need any type of adhesive tape to attach this to your lens. The image quality looks great to me, I didn't see much of a difference except that it does add a little be of distortion. The macro lens does a good job as well.It does make the camera a tad bit bigger and adds a little extra weight, but this is not a deal-breaker for me. I like that I can easily and quickly take off the lens and extension tube and use the camera (stock) without any issues. Check out my video review search MarlonPTY Reviews on YT.

Decent. wish I could have gotten it on a lightning deal.
I was torn between the ulanzi and neewer wide angle lens for the Sony ZV-1 but I wasn’t a fan of the 3M adhesive application of the ulanzi. I believe the ulanzi construction would strain the motor and I want my camera to last so I forked out the extra bucks for the neewer. it’s worth it even though I wish I could have paid the lightning deal price of $55 instead of $75. It adds quite some weight to the camera setup which I’m sure helps you keep it a bit more stable than without. I don’t really get wide angle distortion. The pieces feel solid on the camera and looks quite professional. It also makes my zv-1 look so much cooler.

Interesting! Pretty good.
I’m not sure if this is better for longevity on the ZV-1’s motor than the Ulanzi adhesive adapter. This adapter pushes against the lens to extend, while the Ulanzi carries the weight of the lens when extending. With the Neewer tube and the lens, it is a bigger setup than the Ulanzi. With the Neewer, I have no problem with the mount slipping or falling. But it is also a heavier, bulkier setup than the adhesive wide angle lens. I haven’t had a problem with the adhesive Ulanzi lens yet on the motor or with the adhesive coming off, but I only vlog indoors and I keep the camera stored away in a shaded closet. One major con for me is the fisheye distortion is very noticeable when in wide angle, much more than the Ulanzi wide angle. Granted, with ALL of these wide angle adapters there is a fisheye distortion. But I would say on a scale of fisheye distortion, this one is very noticeable. I would say from videos, the Gizmon looks less distorted. So I would say if you only vlog indoors in one setup like on your desk, stick with the Ulanzi. Mine has not fallen off. But if you travel a lot and want the option of taking the entire wide angle lens off, I would say invest in the Gizmon tube and lens even though it’s more expensive. The Gizmon set gives you a few more expandability options. Buy the Neewer if the slight fisheye effect doesn’t affect you (or maybe you want it!). For me the biggest con was how big this setup was and it was way more difficult to carry on the go one-handed than with the Ulanzi adapter. The trade off is that it is a sturdier setup.

Better Than Ulanzi
I’m not a professional photographer/videographer, just an average guy shooting gym vids lol.. I hardly write reviews but I’m very pleased with this lens. Definitely better than the Ulanzi version I initially had. It annoyed me how the Ulanzi was a screw on with a 3M sticker base and looked pretty tacky. But this Neewer version has that click on camera lens feel that I like and definitely has a sturdier base if put on correctly. What I like about this lens that sets this apart from the Ulanzi is the distortion on the sides of videos. Ulanzi had blurs on the outer parts of my videos which low key annoyed me, but with this Neewer, you won’t have a problem with that. For the money comparison you can’t go wrong with this one… great purchase

Sony ZV-1 folks, its the lens you’ve been waiting for
I was never gonna buy a lens that uses tape to stick my camera. Up till now, that’s all that’s been offered for the ZV-1. One suggestion I will make is go to Home Depot and buy a little tube of thread locker. It applies like toothpaste on the screw that attaches the lens to the camera body…just put a little bit on the threads of the screw before tightening. This will help hold the lens securely to the camera. My screw came loose and lens fell off after being exposed to heat in my automobile. I got lucky because my lens just missed falling onto concrete. Cheers
