Candle Ceramic Filter Black 7 inch Silver Carbon (2)

I’ve been ordering these filters for years to use with their uv light bucket system. I use them everyday. I recently went out of town and realized my morning coffee tastes much better at home. Everything else has gone up in price but these filters have not since I started purchasing them. This year I had a delivery problem and found out how great their customer service is. The company was very quick to respond and fix the problem. I highly recommend them and will keep coming back!

Seems to work absolutely as well as the Berkey, is smaller which is nice, and they gave instructions on how to lengthen the life of the filter! Berkey did not do that. Would have been nice to know before I threw out filters.

When it arrived I almost sent it back because it looked nothing like Berkey. But I gave it a shot and tested with red food dye. To my surprise it has passed the test! So I'll keep using it and update my review at the end of its service. If lasts longer than 6 months, I'll be praising it to everyone:) Update October 1 2019 loses 1 star Unfortunately just like all the other similar type filters they don't live up to their "2000 gallon" claims. We filter around 75 gallons a month of a very clean water and I'm forced to reorder in less than 3 months. You also need 2 filters going for 2 people to have around 4 gallons that we consume per day. Around 2nd month the cleaning and scrubbing becomes daily as the flow reduces drastically. However, there are currently no cheaper or better alternatives... this filer does clean the water very well, therefore we'll continue to support this brand and hope they overcome the shortcomings.

We have a PPM tester and this did not change the PPM from tap water by much. the taste of the water did not change also. I think you really need a secondary filter to take out more. we did not pay for any testing of the water. i went with Burkey and this filter is much smaller. Turns out the Burkey didn't change the PPM much either. the white filters did change the taste though.

It's the balls

Purchased 2 of these filters less than a month apart. First filter's flow rate was less than one drip per second producing less than a gallon of filtered water per day. I tested the filter for best case scenario using water from my 6 stage reverse osmosis under counter system. Contacted SHTFandGO customer service regarding the flow rate, just wanted to know if that was normal and to be expected... No Response. Purchased the second filter and much to my surprise it had a flow rate of 3-4 drips per second using the same 6 stage RO water. Contacted SHTFandGO customer service a second time, now regarding the dramatic differences in flow rate between the 2 filters... Again No Response. My experience, Zero quality control, Zero customer service, both are being returned. I expect reasonably consistent results when choosing something as important as the filtering of water for my family.

Will buy again. Good value.
