Good Dr. Heater for you greenhouse.
The Greenhouse heater was not what I expected, but was just what I needed for my greenhouse. My greenhouse is 6x8 feet. It is not a typical heater, in that it blows warm air and not hot air. I think that hot air would toast my plants in the greenhouse. We had 22 degree temps last week. I set the thermostat just like the instructions stated. The low thermostat was set when the temps outside were about 45 degrees and I watched the temp maintained between 42 and 48 degrees maintained during the freeze here in Houston. I have a remote temp sensor that I can see in the house. I know....I know, for some of you that is not very cold. Sorry....I am using an extension cord for power and I read the warnings, but what else am I going to do? Since, as sated above, the heated blows warm air instead of hot air, then the power requirements should be less. The heater is using less power to produce warm air and not hot air. An extension cord may not be the best option, but is shouldn't be a dangerous option. Just be sure that you use a good quality cord and maybe a cord with 12 gage wire instead of 14 gage.I bought my greenhouse to keep stored plants (plumeria) from freezing in the winter rather that growing plants. I have a big lack of storage place formy plants elsewhere. Anyway...I am very happy. Hope my review was a help.

Fine little heater
We use this in our 6x8 HF greenhouse. I have it connected to a controller set to come on at 45f and go off at 60f. The nights lately have been low 20's and the heater has kept it about 40f. We have various house type plants in it tomatoes, lemon tree and wheat grass for the cats. So far everything is doing good. I don't have any extra insulation on the walls, I've thought about putting up some bubble wrap but I don't think it's needed. I think as long as it keeps it above freezing 32f the plants should be ok, we will see. It's a very well built nice little heater. You could use it without a controller I think you would just have to play with it a few days to see where to set the thermostat I already had the controller so I just use that to control the temp. Some little space heaters can't be controlled by a controller because they have to push a power button to turn them on first, not this one it can be turned on and off by a separate controller. Nice heater if your looking you can't go wrong unless your greenhouse is larger it my require two heaters.

Good for the right size of greenhouse
Originally purchased in late 2018, it's been in use every year to keep my orchids warm. Lately I've had it in my 5x6 ft greenhouse and control it with a wifi plug. Keeps my greenhouse from dipping below 60F. Recently it has been tripping the GFCI circuit. Measured coil resistance and it's approximately 8 ohm. Should be greater than 9.5 ohm. I plan to replace the old one with the same model.Couple things I've noticed since I've been using it. Does great in a wet/high humidity environment. Electronics are clean with no corrosion. Condensation collects in the bottom and there's no drain hole. Some rust, but paint holds up well.

Well Made and Durable
This heater is worth the price. It provides better circulation than most because the fan is larger than the competition. It’s sturdy, built well and heavy so it won't tip over easily. It takes a little longer to reach max temp because the element is encased in metal for durability. Not too noisy. The temperature sensor is on the outside of the case so it’s more sensitive to the room temperature. It’s a better choice for outside like patio or greenhouse.

Would no recommend this product
do not buy this product , i just spoke with a customer servis and they ask me for my credi card and repair my i got the second one on dec 1 they say after a month thecan do anything , but my second one dont have even a month is crazy , oh well this company is no trasfull. update i contact with costumer services by @ they answer me so fast i have good experians with then they will be send me a nother one let see what happen. this back in for means thy care for you .This is an update!!! Important.Heater didn't work. I opened the top, sure enough the wiring from the thermostat was completely burnt. my husband saw the sparking through the top cracks, lots of smoke and he stopped. Immediately he disconnect right away. He've wired enough electrical systems in his life to know better. He even compared the wire with my older heater. The good news is that the wiring is contained within the top of the all metal box, so the fire is contained. He checked my circuit breaker and it was fine. So there is obviously a problem with this heater. You will notice other reviewers having a similar problem.Doesn't work, don't turn on I think is broken inside would no recommend this produc

Greenhouse green
I use it in a 8x8 pop up, plugged into a digital controller. Set to come on at 58 and off at 70 deg without any issue what soever.Mostly all metal construction.1 year update: Still going strong, no issues at all. New 6.5 x 10 hoop house and this heats it perfectly. Got a early start to the season and its working like a champ.

Great little heater
I like this little heater in my greenhouse. It's still working after a month in high humidity. I will say, I wish there was an actual temperature gauge and not just a dial. Because it's hard to know what you're setting the temperature at, and it does not have tip over protection.

Barely put out any heat.
Did not put out much heat. I sent the first one back for a replacement and they charged me for the replacement. While waiting for the replacement I had to go to local farm store and get a heater. got on for $21.00 that worked twice as good this one. So, I sent the replacement back too. Now trying to get my money back for both heaters. Seller very slow at issuing a refund!!
