Product Description
Ever since Al Capone built Happyland Amusement Park in the 1930s, treasure hunters have believed Capone’s lost fortune awaits somewhere at the end of a hidden ride no one has ever found… until tonight. When Henry (Lucas Jade Zumann) finds a set of blueprints leading to the loot, he recruits his best friend and big sister on the quest. The kids quickly find themselves on an incredible adventure when they sneak into the abandoned park and witness it’s attractions magically come to life. To make it out alive, Henry and his pals must team up with a friendly sea witch (THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN’s Kristen Johnston) to do battle against an evil mermaid, deadly pirates, a fire-breathing dragon and an armada of blood-thirsty monsters. And all on a school night!

Perfect family comedy - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Watched with 9 year old boy and 12 year old girl. Both enjoyed it and laughed through out - although 9 yr old LOVED it the most - he's definitely the target audience. Has a Goonies sensibility but WITHOUT all the swearing or inappropriate language/innuendo. Is it a perfect movie? No. Does it feel like a big budget studio film? Not really (although some of the special effects are cool and the 9 year old didn't notice the ones that weren't). But I'm giving it 5 stars because we need more funny, silly, well written/directed movies that don't talk down to kids - like this for families. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for families.

A++Indie film for my inner kid and my own kids
A refreshingly fun, family, throwback film! A clever and original homage to the magic of 80's kids films. A superbly-made indie film from the mind of a father and son duo with a real life story that is heartbreaking and beautiful. Real people making real movies. Bravo!!!!!

Laughter and Adventure and No Worries
The night before we watched this movie, we just finished the last of our 1970's Disney Classics (think Kurt Russell). We knew nothing about Thrill Ride before watching the trailer, but it looked wonderful, and it was. I was able to show it to my seven year old daughter without worrying. We all loved it; thanks so much to everyone involved.
