Graphtech Guitar Top Nut (PT-5043-00)

These are made for strats, I bought mine for a Fender Squire Bullet Mustang. I took a chance because the dimensions seemed dead on to what I measured on my Mustang. It wasn't to be, just a hair too small, my fualt.Put it on a Squire Strat and it works great. No go for the Mustang.

Aaaaa it’s ok I guessI still think bone or ivory allows for the vibrations of the strings to be transferred to the guitar body more efficiently thus providing a more prominent tone .

I needed a replacement nut for my guitar and this was perfect. Great Price and even though it showed 3 weeks to ship it I received it in a week. Make sure before you order it though that you know it is the right size. The four major measurements you need are the overall length of the nut, the width of the nut, the height of the nut, and the last but probably most important measurement is the distance from the Low E string to the High E string (measurement from the first grove to the last grove)

These are great for sound perfectionists. Just be absolutely sure of the size you need by going to Graphtech-Tusq's website before you order.

I tried to install on a brand new Musikraft strat neck. This nut is too short. Not the 43 mm dimension, but the height of the nut. Strings were hitting the frets. And I had not even started to cut into the pre made slots.I've used Graph tech nut before but for some reason they made this one smaller on the height side. If you go to the graphtech website and look closely at the dimensions the 42 mm nut is taller and the string slots are wider?????.

Big upgrade. You won't regret it.
