This is really comfortable. I like the way it shapes to my body. The only thing I don't like about it is that even though I have deep pocket sheets, they're not big enough. The sheet always ends up just around it. I have really bad back pain and this is definitely been helping. If you have pain issues this will definitely help. I would have loved to have this when I was on bed rest. So far I haven't had too many heat issues with it. I'm not overheating. I decided to put the mattress protector underneath it on the actual mattress this on top. I would order this again but I think I would have been better off ordering a one and a half inch. I just need to find some sheets.

It was great for comfort, I’d feel like I was engulfed into a cloud on my bed. However, it did begin to shed and tear off little pieces with consistent friction over time as well as swelling when wet.

After sleeping several nights on the mattress in my camper, I realized I was waking up with aching hips, back and shoulders and having to roll over to a different position regularly. I wanted to make it more comfortable without the expense of buying a whole new mattress. This mattress topper is a home run - the comparison was night and day. It feels nice and soft, but there's enough support to ease the pressure points. Now I'm getting a full night's sleep and waking feeling refreshed. I like it so much I might have to get a few more sizes for the kids' bunks in the camper. The camper queen mattress is actually a few inches shorter than a standard queen, but the width is perfect and the length is manageable without having to trim anything. EDIT: 7/22/20 - After using this topper for a couple of years, I like it more than ever. I actually prefer my bed in the camper with this topper to my expensive mattress set in my house. I always get deep, restful sleep with the support this topper provides - it's just the right combination of supportive but cushioning. I've never had any issue with layers separating, even with use in a camper where temperatures are far more extreme than in a house. It has held up very well, and for a while there I was living out of the camper while traveling for work, so it was getting far more constant use than just the occasional weekend. I noticed that many reviewers have complained about the smell or the shape of the topper right after unpacking - if you just follow the instructions that come with it about it airing it our for a day or two, those issues resolve immediately. With an extra firm mattress, hubby and I were waking up with back and hip soreness. I really relied on the reviews of this product to give us some relief. Thanks to all the great reviews and now here is another one. We aired it out on patio for an afternoon, but really had no smell. First night's sleep was an amazing difference. This cushion really helped and we were finally comfortable and no aches and pains in the morning. We recently spent the night in a hotel and the bed was kinda hard and guess what - we woke up with aches in our hips. Couldn't wait to get home to our "new bed". Honestly, the reviews of this product are authentic. This foam mattress topper really helped. We put in on the mattress and covered it with our mattress cover. Considering to cover it with an older sheet in the future. Had to purchase deep pocket sheets with new extra firm mattress and they still fit nicely with the additional depth of mattress topper. I hope you get the relief we did.

Ordered about 6 months ago, and its OK. Part of my opinion may be biased, because we sleep on an old Ikea Futon (Beddinge), and I purchased this topper in hopes of making an awful mattress feel better for a few months until we get a "real" bed. I'm 30-ish, and have never had back issues etc, but noticed a loss in quality of sleep, tossing and turning more, and pin pointed this to the firmness of my futon mattress. This is my first memory foam experience. I'd have to say, it felt nice the first couple nights. There is a chemical smell (not horrible, but not great), when you receive the mattress. I believe the instructions say to let it air out for 24 hours or so before use. The scent lingered for a week or so, although not overpowering after that first 24 hour period. Again, first memory foam or topper experience, but I feel like this sleeps hot. We live in Southern California. When we got it in January, it felt a bit warmer, but now that it's summer, it's retains heat (like a pillow you can't flip over during the night). My husband notices a difference too. I don't like to be hot when I sleep, but he sweats even when it's cool out most of the time. The foam seems to have held up decently, no stains or rips yet. The blue part separated from the white section a little bit on a corner, but I'm sure that was from me being rough readjusting, and really makes no difference to the functionality of the topper. I ordered a full, we have a full size futon and it's a few inches short both length and width. I am mixed on the review. As we are close to moving, I am researching "real" mattresses - which is completely confusing and terrifying as I'm starting at ground zero, but I am learning a lot. I can say this mattress does have decent response for being memory foam. It's not 'bouncy' but the foam recovers relatively quickly. I have not noticed any permanent compressed areas or anything either. I will say from my limited mattress experience, this does seem very soft, and you sink in decently. I am 5' and about 120lbs - fairly uniform throughout, I feel like this is fairly soft. My hip sinks in deeper than my upper body, so I think part of what I've noticed with me not liking the topper as much anymore is that my spine is off during the night. Some people this might be good if it's softer, others probably not. I assume if you're heavier, you'd 'sink' more into the topper. Pros: held up well (no staining or tearing), decent memory foam response. Cons: sleeps hot, specs seem to be off (too small in length and width), chemical smell for first few days.

I ordered this to have before my surgery because I know how extremely uncomfortable my bed is and I was trying not to spend so much right now because I'm a broke college grad but I'm very glad I did. I set this up the day before the surgery, I was a little nervous opening it because I thought about the photos of the snags I've seen but I inspected it , no snags or tears. It obviously has a funny smell because it is foam but not overbearing at all. After I set it up I laid flat onto the bed and it still needed to be fluffed but it still felt so good. I left it out and came later that evening and it was to it original size. It's the best thing ever. I had my surgery and even though I've been in so much pain I was comfortable in my bed which was the goal. It's been a couple days since so I'm slowly recovering and I'm really reaping the benefits and I've slept like a baby. It cradled my body without letting me fall straight through it. It's not firm and not extremely soft just comfortable. Not sure if my review is useful but I'm in the worse pain right now and to say I'm comfortable in bed is big to me. A great buy for the price.

***********BUYER BEWARE*************READ THE FINE PRINT************** I ordered and received 34 mattresses and 15 mattress toppers from Zinus (through Amazon) in September 2020. I am a business owner. I own vacation rental units that I furnish. Out of the 49 Zinus items I purchased ONLY 20% were in good enough condition to be used. Of the 20% that expanded to their original size and look good they are horribly firm and uncomfortable. PLEASE read all the fine print before purchasing the Zinus mattresses and mattress toppers! On the main purchasing page of Amazon this is the verbiage. • Expertly packaged- Our technology allows this mattress to be efficiently compressed into one box that is easily shipped and maneuvered into the bedroom; simply unbox, unroll and this mattress do the rest, expanding to its original shape within 72 hours. Which I understood it meant “once you open the mattress it takes 72 hours for it to expand to its maximum shape”. That is not the case!! IF you happen to find the teeny tiny little link labeled “Installation Manual” really far down the page it states… “Please remove from packaging within 72 hours of receipt to make sure your mattress can grow to its full potential.” We had many construction delays, and the mattresses did stay boxed up for a couple of months in a storage unit while we waited for the units to be complete. If Zinus would have properly disclosed the mattress requirements better, I would have definitely figured something else out and not left them boxed up. You would think that if it is a matter of 3 days that makes a mattress usable or unusable it would be WELL published. I have spent HOURS on the phone with Amazon who stated they could not do anything, and I needed to contact Zinus. I then have spent countless hours on the phone with Zinus which got me nowhere other than a customer service email. I sent many emails to Zinus customer service since 12/23/2020 with pictures of all mattresses and toppers. They have emailed me back, but each response takes days. They kept escalating the claim up the management ladder. I have requested a replacement for all the defective mattresses. I initially did not want a refund I just wanted mattresses I could use. At one point they told me they would replace them. Then many days later they said they did not have enough in stock to replace them. I find this odd that they do not have at least 11 King size mattresses in stock at any given time. When I told them, I cannot wait for months on end to receive my replacements, since they are for a business and I need to start renting it out, they told me they would send me a “prorated” refund. I am not sure why it would be prorated since I was still within the 100-night trial period. But either way I have received nothing! They told me they would send me a refund and the “refund department” would be getting a hold of me to set it up and I have heard NOTHING. I have emailed them numerous times to each person I dealt with along the way and none of them have responded to me in the last 16 days. So as far as I am concerned Zinus has an 80% terrible product and their customer service wasted my time, and I did not receive reimbursement or replacement for my unusable products. I have purchased replacement mattresses from another company since I cannot wait any longer. I definitely DO NOT recommend Zinus or any of their products and I will never purchase from them again. I will be getting the word out as well to the many other rental owners I network with and letting them know of my experience. The pictures I have included are the mattresses and mattress toppers that had been unboxed for 3-4 weeks. That is all they expanded.
