Must Have For Any Emergency Kit
I bought this item for my emergency go bag. I was initially hesitant to do so after seeing some reviewers on similar products complaining about receiving product at or near its expiration date. Fortunately I checked the sellers buying options and the product was listed as having a 11/2016 expiration date. I ordered the Combat Gauze and it arrived within two days using standard shipping. It came vacuum sealed and no visible problems. It was stamped with the same expiration date as was listed in the product description.Just as everyone else I hope I never have to use it, but I have some piece of mind knowing I have it at the ready should it be required.

A must have
I served in the military and as a firefighter. This is what I carry in my personal first aid kit. It is one of the single best trauma products you can get. It contains a clotting agent which helps control bleeding better than pressure alone. Use in conjunction with Israeli bandage and/or CAT/SOF-T and you will greatly increase the odds of saving someone if they have severe bleed. I must add that learning how to properly use this product is not hard, but is neccessary. Great asset to any first aid kit.

Excellent product.
Having z-fold gauze in your IFAK or blowout kit is a must but if you upgrade the standard gauze to the QuickClot you've increased your capabilities a bunch. This product is packaged in such a way that it actually takes up less room that standard z-fold gauze but because of the kaolin added to the product it adds a clotting capablility that standard gauze doesn't have. It's a great product and while it is more expensive than regular gauze it's worth the extra coin.

Good price, good quality
This is a fair price for the remaining shelf life of the product.I did some research and this product will last multiple years past its "Expiration date" if kept at normal temperatures and not in a damp storage area. However, if you are a medical professional relying on using this on others, Liability becomes an issue with expired medical products, so be aware.Overall, this is an excellent product for the hiker or prepper!WIll last you about 5 years reliably.

Wish it was twice the size for this pirce
I bit pricy for a very small quickclot bandage. Which is was twice the size for this price. Expiration date however was good, many years out and not stock like others sell.

Z-Folds rock
QuikClot combat gauze is a great life saving tool for stopping bleeding in tough to treat locations. This specific kind, however, is superior to the others because of the Z-fold used. Prior generations of combat gauze just rolled up like any other gauze. If you dropped it while packing a wound, it would unravel and roll through the dirt. The z-fold doesn't do this. It only opens up as you are packing and it isn't going to roll away on you.Excellent tool and great upgrade!

Very disappointed
I haven't used the gauze, and hope I never have to. Like most police officers, I bought it just in case. But I am extremely disappointed by the short shelf life. I bought it in March 2013, and the use by date is June 2013. It is too expensive a product to have to replace every three months.

Wrong Item. Received the XL (4" wide) instead of the standard (3" wide) version as represented
I purchased this to replace some in my kits that are expiring or expired. I received the XL variant which, as packaged, is too large for my kits. These came from what seemed to be a reputable supplier. The photos of the standard 3"x4 yard and the lack of "XL" in the description lead me to believe that the standard/traditional z-fold combat gauze was what I was ordering. I received the 4"x4 yard XL version which is almost twice as bulky as the standard. It would be great for an aid bag or car kit but is not what works for my chest rig and belt mounted IFAKs. I will be writing emails and/or making phone calls to attempt to straighten it out and will report back.
