This is my second Honest lighter. The first one worked only fairly well. It never lit on the first click but did almost always light on the second, which ,from my experience, really isn't too bad. This new one always lights on the first click, which may be due to a few things that I have learned fighting with butane lighters. First of all I got Colibri butane. When I first got this lighter I added some butane and then purged the lighter. Then I gave it a 4 second charge. Now I give it 1 or 2 one second blasts a day.Its been a few weeks and it has been flawless.

It lights maybe every 10 to 15 tries. Looks really nice and feels super solid, just doesn't work.

I’m very happy with this lighter as I smoke my tobacco pipe daily and needed a soft flame, refillable, butane lighter to light the tobacco. For the price, it’s a great value particularly since I’ve found it works extremely well. It’s compact and light enough to carry around in my pocket and I don’t notice it’s there. The customer service folks are also very responsive and helpful.

Feels good in the hand, don’t need to open it just push down the button. I find that if you push the button down too quickly it doesn’t light but if you do it gently and slowly in lights every time. We should have a window to see when it’s getting empty but the leather in stitches feel nice in the hand.

Will never ignite. I've tried different fuels, still nothing. Know it's the igniter because I can light it from another flame.Feels comfortable in my hands, I like the angled flame, but not functional if I have to use another lighter to light it.

I've had this later for over a month now and I found it to be very dependable. I'm giving it three stars because I think it's very small, unexpectedly small, especially for the price. So you will have to refill it relatively often. For anyone having difficulty getting it to light every time, squeeze the button down a bit more slowly. Give the later the opportunity to start pumping out the gas before the spark hits. It's a nice bonus that this lighter comes with a pipe tamper and a pack of four screens. Even though I think this is small and pricey for what it is, I've found it's extremely difficult to get a decent soft flame lighter of this style. So I do recommend this product.

Honest lighter by promise, works great & looks super classy. I was worried a torch lighter would scorch my estate pipe, so I went with the pipe lighter by promise. It gets the job done well.Comes with pipe cleaners, screens and a warranty. Very easy to fill.

The lighter seemed to work fine, but it never retained refilled gas. After an underwater experiment, I discovered that the release lever releases gas even when accidentally depressed without full lighting action motion. I theorize it was draining in my pocket. It is shown now as "unavailable"-- unless the valve is redesigned, don't buy it. Or never carry it in a pocket such that it might get gas released.
