This was indispensable after my back surgery. I was able to sit on the cat litter bucket and use this with minimal bending. The foam handle did eventually start to slide, but for me, it doesn't make it any less helpful. Sturdy and does what it needs to do.

This metal litter scooper is very sturdy and sifts waste through my chicken coop coffee grounds easily. The long handle allows me to reach under the roosting bars. so awesome! Just what I needed. The item is not heavy; I scoop using only one hand.The only problem with it is the handle loosens every so often, so I have to tighten it before it comes apart. That has happened to me once, so I tighten it as soon as I feel it starting to jiggle to avoid that. Not really a problem for me. I use it ALOT in my chicken coop, so I will cut it a break. Chicken poop can be heavy when not cleaned out daily. Chickens can poop an ungodly amount every day, so it’s working over time with heavy duty poop . All in all, it’s a durable, lightweight, easy to handle product. I give it a thumbs up!

I really liked using a long scooper instead of having to bend down more with a normal scooper. An issue I had with this one that I did not have with my smaller metal scooper is that clumps would stick to it really badly, so I’d have to scrape off the clumps often or else they’d just be covered in clay.This one lasted me almost a full year before the scoop snapped off of the handle attachment. I was shocked, but I was also just told that I tend to scoop pretty forcefully (massive piles that I struggle to lift), so maybe it was user error. I’m not sure how long this is supposed to last but I just didn’t think it’d break like that. Something to be aware of! My other scooper, which has a normal small handle, is still in great condition.

What a great scooper. The long handle means less leaning over but the shorter handle comes in handy when you don’t want to balance the load with the longer handle. Even a wet clump doesn’t leave residue that sticks on long. A few more scoops through the litter and the residue has disappeared, unlike plastic scoops that I had to clean manually. A few reviews said the long handle comes unscrewed. Thanks to those reviews, when the long handle starts to feel wobbly, I simply tighten it a little. I don’t want it so tight I have to fight to loosen it later and just a gentle tightening works fine. It’s a little heavy because it is so well made but think of it as exercise and that makes this scooper perfect.

So happy I purchased this. Makes litter box scooping a much less smelly, backbreaking job. Very sturdy, easy to clean after use, if necessary.

So easy to scoop out chicken run

Ehhh, I thought it was kinda small for my coop. I know the title saws cat, but I am pretty sure it also says for chickens somewhere. If you get this for chickens, you should probably just go to Tractor Supply. I only have 3 chickens, so it works but if you have more get something else. Probably decent for cats.
