IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD

I rarely read books in one sitting but this one was so good in terms of motivation, inspiration, life lessons, and practical yet straight forward advice that I just could not stop reading. From someone who has sought advice from some of the smartest folks, this book captures a lot of core life themes that can be applied not only to music production but all aspects of life. Russ has given one of the best lessons that progress is intrinsic and he has sat in his head thinking of life for so long that he has cracked open the keys that drive progress. Russ has my absolute respect and I look forward to seeing the principles laid out in this book drive success in his life. Read this book over and over and over.Recommendation: Buy 1 for yourself, your family members, and anyone else you want to see succeed in life.Pros:- Provides key life lessons- Very practical and to the point- Provides a perspective / framework for success in life- Unique look at life and gives examples- Narrated by Russ himself (I believe)Cons: None

A great message, reminding you that if you believe it, you can be it! I liked how the chapters were named after his songs. Got some really great insight into his start, and how he was successful with great advice on how others can do the same, regardless of their industry. A quick but great read.

Timeless wisdom in a short, simple book. I love how he incorporates his personal stories from his life and music journey into the book. He is telling principles of success that I've read in a lot of Success Classics like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and I Will by Ben Sweetland. He talks about the power of Self-Belief and Self-Faith, despite all obstacles or contrary evidence. He talks about the power of being delusional - believing in yourself and potential regardless of what outside circumstances say. He talks about working in silence, the power of your thoughts and your words. He cautious against putting off dreams into the future, but urges us to live them in the present. He states that we shouldn't speak about success in the future tense, "I am going to be successful," is a mistake. We must say that "I AM successful NOW." He is a true inspiration and I'm grateful for his little book!

Not bad. A short book but pretty good. Refers to following your dreams and not overthink your decisions and dreams.

This was also good I finished the entire book in one sitting because I could not put it down. I also loved looking up songs referenced throughout the book. This is one I will come back to again & again when I need some motivation. 💯
