These are the best to keep little hands out of cabinets and drawers. They don't break like the plastic ones.

The angle at which the latches is bent is incorrect so that the latch just bangs into the holding screw rather than gliding over it. I had to rebend all the latches to use them. These latches are designed for cabinets for which the surrounding frame is flush with the back of the door. On my cabinets, the doors are right up against one another, so I had to put a wood spacer between the latch and the door. Another issue is that the latches relax after repeated use, so that they have to be rebent. Not a big deal, but a nuisance. Overall, not a great product, but I haven't found anything better out there.

They're functional and inexpensive, but they are also pretty ugly, feel a bit dangerous with the somewhat sharp metal edges sticking out, and are a little annoying to use and install. Also, I don't know what kind of screws they included, but I had no less than 4 of them shear off while I was screwing them into my cabinet door, leaving a hunk of metal embedded in the wood and forcing me to start over and relocate each time. That was pretty infuriating.

O.K. so I purchased two sets of these expensive (IMO) latches, installed them with ease allbeit a little work, and they work very well.100 times better than the plastic baby latches being sold. Reminds me when I was a kid ... we had them.However, BE WARNED .... if you catch your hand or arm on them, which is very easy to do, they will cut you wide open. So, move carefully when opening your doors. Also . . . . I wish they where not so expensive . . .

I used these for my own kids, now my kids are using them for theirs! The other plastic ones don't stand a chance, they break and bend very easily.

Perfect! The only thing I've found that can keep even the strongest and most determined toddlers out of cabinets.The best part is that you can bend the metal to make it fit strangely shaped or misaligned cabinets, this proved to be a wonderful surprise!
