Sadly (I love coffee), I developed a caffeine sensitivity sometime around 10 years ago which kept me from sleeping at night. Since then, I've gone through a lot of decaf trying to find a really good cup of coffee. This is IT. ALL the others either gave me a headache - mold, mildew or extraction process? IDK - but this one is PERFECT. I had gotten accustomed to espresso blends brewed in a regular coffee pot and with all the other decaf brands, I've had to use 2 and sometimes 3x the amount I would for regular coffee JUST trying to achieve more that a pot of tasteless hot water. That was getting expensive.Kicking Horse Decaf is the best I've tried so far. 2 healthy scoops (4-6 TBSP) of freshly ground beans and I now have my morning cup(s) of happiness. On the weekends, when evening sleep isn't so important, I've blended in a pinch or two of their Three Sisters blend (also a very good cup of coffee!) and I can get the housework done without feeling like I need a nap, lolI really appreciate the Swiss Water Process too. There is no bitterness, the coffee is fresh and smells great. It's been 10 years of sub-par decaf coffee, so unless they change the beans this is now My Coffee. This is really good decaf coffee. It is cleanly made with organic beans and does not make my histamine react like regular coffee or chemical decaf does. I can always take a clean caffeine pill if I need the boost. This is my second bag and it works nicely with my K-cup machine or French press. I like the whole bean, throw it in my grinder every few days, so each batch i grind is fresh. Now I don't have to do without while everyone around me enjoys coffee.

I find this decaf to be the best I've found so far since Covid took out out local small roasting company. I personally don't think it's quite a dark roast, but I just use a little more. I love the flavor profile. When I first open a bag, I get a definite hit of hazelnut and once brewed, love the smooth, rich chocolate notes. If you do a mix of decaf and regular as I sometimes do, it goes really well with their Grizzly Claw. It has a similar flavor profile, but is a little lighter roast ( they label it a dark roast)Some people find it expensive, but it just depends on who you're buying from. Check all the prices, sometimes there's a really good deal. There's also always some way overpriced sellers. Just calculate the cost per ounce to make sure you're getting the best price.

I appreciate the decaf using the Swiss water method (no chemicals). I've had no jitters/anxiety from the coffee, and the dark roast has been great for my GERD.The taste was great with my French press, will consider buying again.

I love this coffee as a decaf espresso bean and it has become my favorite afternoon/evening drink. I understand that all tastes are subjective, but for me, this one is very well smooth and balanced; and has almost a dark chocolate flavor in espresso. It isn't highly acidic or citric, nor bitter like some beans. The package arrived quickly and the beans were very fresh.

So I got these beans to start my aeropress brewing journey and tried them at different grind sizes, different water temperatures, and water/bean amounts. After experimenting a bunch and finding what tasted best, I still found the taste to just be ok. The aftertaste is a little too bitter for me. Really happy I got them for experimenting since they are one of the best bang for your buck for decent decaf coffee beans.

I love that this is a naturally decaffeinated coffee. free of mold and pesticides. I was afraid it wouldn't taste good , but its delicious! smooth body. nice aroma, low acidity. definately not bad for a decaf coffees
