Very precise little square
Well made, small size works great for small projects.

Perfectly squared. Ideal for setting up the table saw, miter saw or router bit.

Perfectly square for me
I had been setting up my table saw, miter saw, and bandsaw using a square that I now know to be un-square. After watching a video or two that show how to assess if your trusty square is actually square (of the 4 I own(ed) only one was actually square) I knew I needed something accurate. The reviews on this square are a bit mixed but mine was perfect. Skip over the reviews that complain about the box it comes in, the edges being too sharp or any of the other nitpicking things about it. Read the description and you will find that it is small, so expect small. It's not a big square but it will work perfectly for woodworking tools. Unless you are on NASA's space team, this will do just fine.

The water was cold!
At the time of ordering it didn't seem so small in my mind... 100x70 are big numbers! but once you get the sticky bag off this oily little bugger and it's in your palm you feel almost sorry for it. It's honestly too small to be very useful for much other than maybe squaring your benchtop planer fence. Is it square? I'll just have to assume that it is because I don't trust any of my other squares.**edited to 5 stars: yes, it's square. I was skeptical at first but this has grown to be one of my favorite tools. The size is adequate for small work and it permanently lives on my workbench. It came dipped in oil for a reason though, it'll rust quick.

Great tool
Very clean, neat and to spec. This can be used to check the perpendicularity of parts and assemblies. I use it make 90 degree starting grooves when cutting aluminum sheet and bars. Doesn't tilt or slip like the thinner ruler of combination squares do. I place a piece of flat stock between the square and the saw. The thicker vertical part of the square is what makes the difference.

Works great
For some reason, I thought that it was all a single piece of metal with a couple of bolts in odd places on the bottom. That reason being that I was an idiot. However, that being said, seems to work well and I actually like that the two pieces can be separated in order to micro-adjust then reassembled. Bought it to help with the set up of my scroll saw, table saw and bandsaw. I also like that it can be used flat rather than just standing up, which is ultimately why I chose this design over some of the others. Yes, it does come with a coating of oil on it to protect it; not a problem.
