This book was one that opened my eyes to things I never thought of and the things I had questions about, a mist read for young Christians and old who may feel like they are in a rut and need new energy

I am a high school senior who read this book to help me deepen my relationship with Jesus. I love how C.H. Surgeon writes in this book! I was able to understand everything as the words are simply put compared to other C.H.S. writings. I was challenged to follow Christ with my whole heart and also to see the great need for evangelism. I want to have a passion for the lost like C.H.S. had. I would recommend this book to every Christian whether a new believer or a long time follower of Jesus. There is so much to be learned through this book regardless if where we are in our spiritual walk. I wish more youth would read this book! Just because C.H.Surgeon lived in the 1800s doesn't mean his words are less relevant even to we in the Z generation! Read this book and prepare to be encouraged, challenged, and changed!!!

I can totally understand why Charles Spurgeon was called the Prince of preachers. His books are books you will finish overnight, because he challenges one in faith and action.

I am moved by this book. After work and before work, I have been reading this until I finish. I will write the things that I need to do based on what he said. It is an eye opener for someone like me who have been professing a Christian but not really. It burdened me in a good way because I know God is correcting me and He wants me to give my all for Him in this life. This is the third book that I read from Pastor Charles Spurgeon and he’s now one of my favorite authors. Devour this book and apply this as you can. Thank God I came across this book.
