TAMIYA1/48 Republic P-47D Thunderbolt - Razorback

I got this model as something to work on while at home during the virus. This was my first model in 20 years as I have not done one since childhood, and was a great experience. Already looking for my next Tamiya model. The parts were very detailed and fit well. No warping or gaps, and instructions were easy to follow.If you're new to model making or just getting back to it like I am, I would strongly recommend looking up articles or youtube guides on how to do these types of kits to get the most out of it.

The model is complete and as described. The delivery was very fast, and the packaging was good. I highly recommend this vendor.

This is a very nice kit. All parts fit extremely well and have a high quality plastic feel. The details in this kit are top notch also. Make sure you have micro sol for the decals. The Indian chief head needed a lot to conform. I liked that it was easy enough to build with the landing gear up as I wanted to hang the ship for display.

This P 47 is of good quality and come together very well. Detailed parts and fun to build.

I was a little hesitant when I saw that the cellophane wrapping was already removed and original tape was cut, and then retaped. But everything was in the box, so I will chalk it up to it being inspected before shipping so I appreciate that! Arrived faster than expected so that's also a very good mark!

I got this for my brother-in-law last Christmas. He gets a lot of enjoyment from these kits and I recently asked him how he liked this. He didn't want to complain so he hadn't said anything, but he admitted that the fuselage won't go together and the piece at the top of the screen had broken off. He is very meticulous with these kits and especially wanted this model and was looking forward to painting this, but he said that no matter how he tried, he couldn't get it together and he didn't want to hurt my feelings by complaining. He is 85 years old and is an Air Force vet and takes a lot of pleasure in making these planes. I notice your ad says that returns are accepted for this item until January 2025. If possible, I would like another one of these models. Thank you.
