Paderno World Cuisine 4-3/4-Inch Silicone Sleeve

For some reason, this listing has a really lousy photo and a curiously low price compared to other listings for Paderno brand sleeves. I checked the description and according to the numbers, it is supposed to fit my 9.5 inch Paderno World Cuisine fry pan and so despite no reviews and the fact it was listed at one-fifth the price of the other listings for what seems to be the same item, I took a chance and ordered two. Glad I did because it is much nicer than the photo displayed (looks JUST like the glossy studio photos in the other Paderno sleeve listings) and it fits the pan handle perfectly. See my photo added. Has the same teardrop shaped hole for hanging as in the other listings. Also has ergonomic indents for your fingers on the reverse side of the sleeve. Very well made - gives the pan a comfortable and safe grip.TIP: It was much easier to slide the sleeve onto the handle by putting just a bit of vegetable oil on the edges of the handle first.Happy with this purchase and hope you get a bargain too!

Calphalon no longer makes the sleeves for its skillets, so we purchased a couple of these. They work great as far as keeping from grabbing a hot handle, but apparently, since Calphalon doesn't provide sleeves, it apparently doesn't support them conceptually either - with the weight of the sleeve added to the handle of the skillet, it tends to tip over! We now use ours mostly on our pans, which seem more stable. There are shorter, and presumably lighter, sleeves available and we may order those next time to see if they work better on the skillets.

Does NOT fit the De Buyer Mineral-B frying pan as incorrectly mentioned in some other reviews. Tears easily if you try to force it on. Might be a fine product for other pans with smaller handles, but no good for De Buyer.

I received this handle and is was NOT was shown in the picture which would fit Paderno or the de Buyer B-mineral pans. It did fit another pan I had so I did not have to send it back and it works perfect for this pan.

Not much to say about this, other than it took a bit of a struggle to get on all the way. All the better, since the last thing I'd want is for it to come loose while I'm shaking the pan.

JUNK! It tore as I tried to slide it on!

Did not fit my castiron skillet which is what I bought it for.

I bought this sleeve to fit a specific steel pan, and although it was not easy to slip it on, doing so now provides me with a more or less permanent heat resistant handle for the pan. Four not five stars because of the good amount of effort required to work the sleeve over the handle. Otherwise, I am very happy to have it, as it makes having to fumble around for a pot holder or cloth to hold a hot pan a thing of the past.
