Cajohn's Lethal Injestion Bhut Jolokia Hot Sauce, 2oz.

I debated on 4 or 5 stars. The sauce is decently hot and has an excellent flavor. Nice and thick too. However, a 2oz bottle goes REALLY fast. If it were a more standard 5oz bottle it would be my always go to sauce. As it is I just can't justify it in my budget at this price point. Still the best tasting sauce I have found that actually has some heat to it. Plus the packaging is funny :D.

Okay, I will admit that this stuff is fairly hot. The only problem is that it has a horrific flavor. The heat has nothing to do with it. The instant it hits your tongue it is like eating battery acid. It just tastes really really bad. There are plenty of other much hotter options out there that also have a very enjoyable flavor to them. I do not recommend anyone waste the money on this unless you have a thing for highly acidic overpoweringly bad flavor.

Warmth: you have eaten hotter jalapenos. If you really douse it on something, it has a consistent and pleasant heat without being overwhelmed by vinegar.Thickness: this is a pretty thick sauce. Expect to have to shake or tap the bottle to get it out.Value: way, WAY overpriced. I would pay 20+ dollars for it if it came in 12 ounces. But for 2 ounces this is ridiculous.Flavor: actually has a nice depth of"chile forward" taste to it, and would go well with just about anything without overpowering the dish. I had it on a simple roast chicken breast and it was delightful. The marketing of this sauce as some "super hot" sauce is flat-out wrong. It is not.The flavor is there, Sadly the cost is prohibitive.3 stars overall from me. Will not repeat.

I eat jalapenos the way my wife eats celery sticks (Seriously, we have separate bowls with dip) so maybe I'm not the best reviewer. I don't buy extract sauces because, while they undeniably are hot, they have no flavor. This sauce has a very good flavor, but I could wish it were hotter. I know that making a hot sauce without extracts is really hard, so I guess this is the best anybody can do. For me, it's overpriced. I may buy it again for a party, but it won't be a staple.

This advertises to be one of the hottest sauces. You get what you pay for... how can you complain? Deserves a higher rating. It set my universe on FIRE.

This stuff is hot. Not so hot that it is un-enjoyable, but hot enough to please even an experienced chili head. This product will certainly stay in my top list of choices for heat and flavor. Thanks Cajohns for the amazing product.
