Scuba diving. Perfect for console dive computers a bit too heavy for retractors or SPG or compass. Keeps them from dragging, even when unbuckled.

Solid, well-built, medium-duty lanyard
This is a nice lanyard with a metal clip. I've switched to only buying lanyards with metal clips, as the plastic ones tend to break, resulting in the possible loss of whatever is attached. The cord on this one is a bit on the small side for holding something as large as a housed DSLR. Overall, a great value for lighter objects such as small cameras, lights, etc.
