I absolutely love this plushie and the pictures truly do not do it justice in regard to how cute it really is! He has a weighted bum so that you can sit him properly on a shelf, and the detail in his eyebrows & mustache are astounding. He has removable pants, and a little bowtie hidden underneath his accurately colored beard. He also had an adorable tag attached to him that gives a small description of Marx himself. If you know a philosophy or sociology professor you'd like to get a gift for, I strongly recommend him.

I purchased this as a gift for the first birthday of my philosophy peer's son. He did not appreciate it at first, but is growing to like it as he matures. It is almost as if the child is emerging from the capitalist ideology to see the revolutionary gift that has been bestowed upon him. I reckon it is a fear of critical theory that has led to the recommended age of 10 and up as the parents of the bourgeoisie fear the corruption of their youth. Perhaps their fear is founded. Revolution is coming. Workers of the world unite!I am giving this doll only 4 stars due to the fact that although the specter of communism is upon us, it has not yet been actualized. Also because it has no Engels doll to hold hands.

My husband was very surprised and delighted by this gift. It's adorable and really looks like Marx. I didn't look at the size when I ordered and didn't realize it was so big, but that's okay.
