The Perfect Travel Blender
This blender doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles. It's not battery powered, it doesn't auto blend, it has just one speed and you gotta hold the button on down. And, it's PERFECT. I was using a Blendjet 2 for travel until TSA confiscated it as a weapon. You can't check a Blendjet because of the lithium ion battery either. I ordered this as an alternative hoping it would work and it's exactly what I need. It's cute, small enough to throw in a bag and blends up bananas and baby carrots exactly as a blender should. Totally worth it and will definitely buy again when this one wears out some day.Total game changer for healthy living as a frequent flyer.

Small and gets the job done well
I purchased this to replace an Oster personal blender. So far, function and performance has been superior to the Oster. Here's why: large mouth opening which helps when adding frozen fruit; measurements on the side if you have interest in how much fluid, etc you're adding, grinds up frozen fruit well. Note: I pulse the blending. Additionally, I prefer that the blades and cup are one single unit: less opportunity for leaking.Haven't tried it with ice cubes but with frozen fruit it's worked well. Definitely a good buy.

Gets job done fine, but is weak...
Decent one cup blender. It works pretty good and has some neat features. What I like: can blend and drink from cup. Small and quick to use. Easy to clean up. Dislikes: not very powerful. Develops a weird smell from the motor if you're blending for too long. I really think the motor is a bit underpowered for what it's doing. The cap has a slightly weird fit which could be improved. Overall pretty good for the price, but I would probably invest in a more durable, higher powered one in the future.

Perfect Portable Blender for Smoothies and Shakes!
The Hamilton Beach Portable Blender has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. I use it primarily for smoothies with almond milk, and it delivers fantastic results every time. The 14 oz travel cup is the perfect size, and the lid makes it super convenient to take my smoothies on the go.The stainless steel blades blend everything smoothly, whether it’s almond milk, yogurt, regular milk, ice cream for shakes, or even ice. Despite having no adjustable spin speeds, the one-press-button simplicity makes it a breeze to use, and it still blends like a charm, creating perfectly smooth textures without any chunks. It’s also incredibly easy to clean since the travel cup doubles as the blending jar.If you're looking for a reliable, portable blender for smoothies and shakes, the Hamilton Beach Portable Blender is a fantastic choice. Compact, efficient, and perfect for an active lifestyle. Highly recommended!

Not meant for thick smoothies
Works fine if you want a thin “smoothie”. Not good for actual thicker smoothies with frozen fruit. Motor not powerful enough. The bottom half blends while the top half stays still.

I am shocked at all the great reviews, unless I just ended up with a particularly bad unit. I was not expecting much from such an "affordable" blender - but the only reason for my purchase was to blend a single orange a couple of times a day. Not an apple, or carrots, but a single juicy orange. An inexpensive blender could do that, right? Well, technically, it can - with quite a bit of help. I would have to cut up the orange into pieces and make sure some were under the blades. OK, I understand why that would be as it would need something to catch onto when starting to blend. But, then I would have to repeatedly stop the blender and push more of the orange down under the blades - have to do this quite a few times, mushing the orange into more juice as I did it. I have done this twice a day for a couple of weeks. When I look at the base of the unit, it has a lot of white, fuzzy stuff all around the base of the unit. There are also tinges of green. The white particles are coming from the white plastic base attached to the motor. The green pieces are coming from the green, soft material attached to the blender cup. You can easily see the wear of both of these on the unit, so I would expect it not to last long. It might have performed well if I had added a good amount of water or other liquids to it -- but my expectations was that any blender should be able to blend something as soft and juicy as an orange without it causing wear and tear on the blades. I would usually end up with about 8 ounces, and I did not want watered down orange juice from having to add more liquid. As far as the lid goes, I only used it to blend with. I honestly would not trust it staying on when turning up to drink from because it only pushes on without a locking device. That was OK with me since it made it easier to take on and off to keep pushing the orange down into the blades. Also, I would pour the blended orange into another cup. I will try a different blender with higher wattage - turns out this one is only 175 watts. If I try one that is around 350 watts and it does not work well, then I should edit this review to reflect that - but hopefully I can find a small one to blend a single orange! Again, maybe tuis was just defective somehow to start with? I had ordered the blue one, and I will say I think the color is very nice.

Compact and Colorful – Perfect for Daily Smoothies!
I absolutely love this personal blender! It's the perfect size for making single-serving smoothies, protein shakes, or even small sauces. The motor is powerful enough to blend fruits, ice, and veggies smoothly without any struggle. One of my favorite things is the variety of colors available — I chose the pink one, and it looks super cute on my kitchen counter! The cup is lightweight and easy to carry, so I can blend and go without using extra dishes. Cleaning is also very simple — just add water and a drop of soap, blend for a few seconds, and rinse. It’s great for busy mornings or quick snacks. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a convenient and stylish blender!
