Great sanding blick
Excellent sanding block. Fits nicely in your hand, easy to work with. Changing sandpaper is very fast and easy simply lifting the edges up a little. Holds the prince and tight doesn't loose grip while sanding like some blocks tend to. Definitely not a bad block to be working with all day. Very fast and easy shipping damage free.

Sanding for life
Very strong and made of Sturdy material actually quite heavy showing that it’s great quality. The only thing I don’t like about it is that inorder put the sandpaper in there’s small nails and you have to lift the flap to get sand paper it in there It’s not that hard and it’s made well it’s just not my preference. Will not break down

nice little block
I agree that the paper was very hard to put in, at first. The rubber flaps were so rigid it took some time just to get the packaging off. The paper is held in by three nails on each side so you can't just lift the flaps a little, you have to lift them enough to be able slide the paper up off the nails. My first piece I thought would be impossible without four hands. However, after about a dozen uses the rubber seems to have softened, making it slightly easier to lift the flaps and I got used to installing the paper. That being said it is a nice little block that feels good using it, very little hand fatigue especially compared without a block. Also the base is slightly flexible with a little bit of pressure; this came in handy for sanding down an old axe head and probably for other tools with a slight curve. 1.4 sheet paper fits perfectly length wise (just be sure to get the first end in all the way) with a little bit of overhang on the width.

Very handy.
I had a sanding block like this before, but lost it, so was very pleased to find this one. I like it much better than wrapping sand paper around a block of wood. A tip: put packing tape on the back side of your sand paper and it will last much longer and not disintegrate.

Works fine, but does not fit 1/4" sand paper sheets
The sander works fine. It's a heavy piece of plastic, and it works well for sanding. However, be warned that the production description says it takes 1/4 size sand paper sheets. It does not. If you actually want to secure a piece of sandpaper on the flat side of the sander using the metal spikes, the sand paper will need to be at least 6 3/4" long. It will obviously need to be slightly longer than that if you want to use the curved side. This isn't a big deal, but I wanted a sanding block that I could use with precut sand paper sheets. This is not that sanding block.

is a new type? :-)
I like the golfball dimples of this SB. Always used a flat one. The dimples act as suction cups when wet sanding. Even loose paper stays in place. Must be living in the dark ages for always used flat bottom blocks. New product for me, but though some may be laughing at me, I like this block over my tired old ones.

Sanding Made Easy - Great Product and Better Value!
I read reviews that said it was hard to put the paper on this solidly fabricated sanding block and don't understand what the fuss was about. I will also say that the sandpaper stays put whilst sanding and the block is comfortable in my hand allowing ample pressure to speed through the drudgery of sanding.

Works Great.
A lot of whining regarding getting sandpaper in this. I found it to be pretty easy if you just know what the hell you're doing.
