I feel like they could become disfigured if a person was to constantly open and close them.)My Opinion:I love the look of metal shower curtain rings, but have always hated buying them because after a couple months or so they all seemed to rust. The rust would get onto the curtain liner and it was always a big production to pick out new curtain hooks and try to clean the rust stains from the curtain liner. I have had these curtain hooks for three months now and absolutely NO rust! I have looked several times and have even moved the little beads back and forth to see if there was any rust forming between them and there is none! No rust on the shower curtain rod, no rust on the hooks, no ugly rust stains on my shower curtain or liner. Although these curtain hooks are not the fanciest of hooks, they look clean and classic. I actually purchased an extra set so that I’m ready whenever the husband finishes our guest bathroom.

These shower rings are much better than the 'hooks' we had before. These won't 'cross-over' each-other like the hooks, which was the aggravation with the 'hooks'. Love the way they look, and the price really couldn't be beat. Just a small criticism with setup, in that the 'safety-pin' style of the way the clasps hook into each-other is a little hard to handle. Some hooked right in very easily, but some took a little jiggering to hook into itself. Hard to explain. See the accompanying picture. You can see that some of the hooks/clasps aren't fully closed. But this is not a big deal. Not a real reason to take a star off for the seller. I probably could have spent more time closing the bottom part of the clasps before 'hooking' the upper part into it. I don't know. I didn't really expect to have to do that though...

I recently decided to order this design, as they look better than the old plastic ones I had, they slide along a rod better and are what hotels typically use, which presumably indicates some sort of research has gone into the design. I was not familiar with this company, but reviews were good, the product description matched what I was looking for and the price was right.These curtain rings arrived quickly and packaging was minimal (which is good if you are concerned about limiting waste) but completely adequate. I immediately put them on the old curtain rod. To do this I took down the rod (held up by pressure), slid the rings on over one end (recommended), and repositioned the rod. Despite my effort to face all clips toward the back, 2 were flipped, which I noticed only after hooking on 2/3 of the curtain. Rather than take it all off, I opened the 2 rings wider than they were designed for, I am sure, slipped them off the rod and then back on correctly. In doing so, the rings seemed maybe a little flimsy, but they bent back into their designed position, and look the same as the others.I have has these rings installed about a week now. They look as expected, roll smoothly, are stainless steel and come with a 10 year guarantee. I couldn't ask for more. To top it off, this morning I got an email from the company asking if I was satisfied, and offering assistance if anything wasn't perfect. I am completely satisfied. Now that's customer service!

We have used these ball-bearing style rings before, and they're great compared to the non-ball bearing ones. However, the old ones we had only had four balls, while this has five. The old one was at least six years old, and was not sliding as smoothly as it used to, and we were replacing the curtain and liner anyway, so we decided a full refresh was in order.These do slide very smoothly. Time will tell how they hold up, but for day three of use, we're very pleased, and they seem like they will be a nice improvement on an already great product. Hopefully all the talk about no rust pays off long term. I don't think anyone is sitting around with the packaging and receipt for the warranty on such a cheap product, but I suppose it's nice to know it's offered in case you feel you need it.

I am as happy with this product as I can be after just 2 weeks of use. They are shiny and new. There are 12, as indicated on the packaging. They look like the picture. I am not sure if you are suppose to take down the curtain rod and just slide the rings on the rod..I don't do that, I open the rings and push them over the rod in a rather forceful manner (because it is hard to get the rod down - it is old...and probably should be replaced). This is probably too much force, but none broke. When I did this, the rings did feel less than up to the task (as though if they had to open any further, they might have snapped)..but they didn't, and I haven't done a material analysis on them, so I believe they are stainless steel. In 2 years I hope they are still "stainless". The last curtain rings I had were the same style, but after several years of use, were black (yet somewhat rusty) and started breaking when you moved the curtain open. Perhaps this is normal, but I have high hopes that these will age better! But as I say...hard to write a substantive review after just 2 weeks. I don't want to just say, "they arrived on time and the packaging was good". You are probably reading this review because you want to know about the product, not so much because you are worried that Amazon will do their job.
